Good Friday morning!  WooHoo!!  Looking forward to the weekend!  Guess who is coming to hang out with Poppi and Nani tomorrow??  Aren't you all enjoying the fall weather we are having these past few days?  I love it!  I know it is suppose to warm up again soon but I'll take it when we get it.

Just a friendly reminder to send a card or note in the mail to someone who can use some support and encouragement in their life right now.  But I am really going to encourage you to send at least 2 cards, to 2 different people.  haha!  I am not pushy am I?  It is just that I know how important it is to so many people.  It sooooo meant the world to me when I was very sick.  We need to keep each other encouraged!  Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

Here is a picture of me catching Tyler doing something he thinks he shouldn't be doing....he is looking at me to see if it is okay or not.  Love it!

But here is his face when I say no-no Tyler.....priceless!

Prayer requests:  For my friend Lorri Cavins who has been on chemo for a long time to fight the same cancer I had, melanoma.  They have now found two new spots and she will be having surgery to remove them on October 18th.  Please pray for strength and encouragement for her and her family.  Pray that she keeps the fight in her.  I also want to have you all please pray for a little 2 year old boy named Jose. He just had a cancerous tumor removed and they won't know the results on whether it has spread or not until next week.  You know how the waiting on results is one of the hardest things to deal with.  Pray that they got it all and there will be nothing but good news. If you could also pray for strength for his mom, Imelda too.  One last thing....for comfort and peace for the Crowley family on the loss of a loved one to cancer.

How great is it that we can come to one another for prayer?  God is listening.  Thank you prayer warriors.

Psalms  138 verse 3: When I pray, you answer me, and encourage me by giving me the strength I need.

I read this yesterday and wanted to share this with you today.......You are God's handcrafted work of art.  You are not an assembly-line product, mass produced without thought.  You are a customed designed, one-of-a-kind, original masterpiece.  Not only did God shape you before birth, he planned everyday of your life to support his shaping process.  God never wastes anything.  He would not give you abilities, interests, talents, gifts, personality and life experiences unless he intended to use them for his glory.

Have a fantabulous day everyone!  Today is another gift from God and He is so Good!

What is the desktop background picture on your computer?  Mine is different beautiful outdoor scenery or a family picture.

Good Thursday morning!  How is everyone doing?  There is so much going on right now with so many people and I feel like it is time to start a card campaign again.  I would like to ask you to please go out and buy a card or two and send it to someone who could really use the support and encouragment right now.  Or even easier.....just write a quick note on a piece of paper telling the person that you are thinking about them and wish them a good day.  As you read this, God will put a name in your head.  Go with that thought and send that person a card or note this week.  I know it is appreciated!  Thank you everyone!

Well Jenna and I finally did it.   We let Tyler grab the cupcake.  This is his 11 month old pictures.  I am teary eyed thinking about it.  Where did the year go?  Here he is just posing.....

Then we finally let him go and grab the cupcake.  I don't think he could believe we were letting him take it.

Here he is having a great time smushing the cupcake in his hands.  Can't wait to show you all the 1 year birthday party pics when he gets a cake to himself!  The BIG day will be here very soon.

Prayer requests:  For comfort for the Sulli family on the passing of Nick's mom.  For Angel Linda's sister's ankle surgery to be a success on October 25th.  If it doesn't work they will have to amputate the foot and ankle.  For protection for my cousin Anthony and all the troops who are serving in the military where the conditions are dangerous.  For quick healing for a friend who is recovering from a scratched cornea.  For Chris Davila's pain to go away from a football mishap.  Continued peace and comfort for the Bryant and Jordan families.  Thank you to everyone for being so faithful in praying!

Psalms 128 verse 5: May the Lord continually bless you with heaven's blessings as well as with human joys.

Have a super day everyone!  Today is another gift from God and He is so Good!

Question:  Okay.....we did grandmother names yesterday......now what are your grandfather's names?  Mine were Chester and Hulett.

Good Wednesday morning!  I made it through work yesterday.  It looks like it is turning into a nagging cold and cough, but at least I am feeling better and am able to be back to work.  Thank you for the prayers.  I should be starting my white cell booster shots this week.

I want to give a BIG (((((((HUG))))))) to everyone today.  I know of a lot of people who could use one right now.  What is fabulous about hugs is that they are free!

I wanted to share a picture that Mike took last Saturday of Marga Cooley and I in Balboa Park in San Diego.  This is where we met to work on our book.  What a beautiful day it was too.  Very happy with everything we got accomplished.

Leslie & Marga

Here is a picture of Tyler in the hat that my friend Mary Jo Ramsay made for him.  It is a pumpkin for our little pumpkin!  Thanks Mary Jo.  It is so cute!

I read this yesterday and wanted to share.......One key to courtesy is to understand where people are coming from.  Discover their history.  When you know what they have been through, you will be more understanding.  Instead of thinking how far they still have to go, think about how far they have come in spite of their hurts.

Prayer requests:  Continued prayer for the families that suffered a tragic loss this week.  That God will comfort them and give them peace that passes all understanding.  Also for a friend's mother who is in ICU right now to get better soon. And for someone else who had surgery yesterday to recover swiftly.

Psalms 116 verses 1 & 2:  I love the Lord because he hears my prayers and answers them.  Because he bends down and listens, I will pray as long as I breathe!

Have a wonderful day everyone!  Today is another gift from God and He is so Good!

Question.....What are your grandmother's names?  Mine are Marian and Virginia.

Good Tuesday morning.  It has been a very sad last 24 hours for our community.  First and foremost I would like to ask everyone to pray for two families this morning who each suffered a seperate tragic unexpected death of a family member yesterday.  Please keep the Bryant and Jordan families and all of their friends and co-workers in your prayers for comfort and peace.  It is such a sad thing to have happened to both and I know we cannot understand why things like this happen.  Pray also for wisdom and guidance for their family's future too.

Please also keep little Electra in your prayers too.  She is still on a long road of recovery from her accident and she now has bedsores.

I also received a prayer request yesterday for a family who is going through some bad things right now and they are asking you prayer warriors that God will open the right doors and that they will get the help that they so desperately need.

I am feeling a little bit better and plan on going to work this morning.  Thank you for praying for me.

I can't begin to tell you all how much all of your prayers are appreciated.  I hear from so many people who say "Thank You!"

Psalms 23:  Because the Lord is my Shepherd, I have everything I need.  He lets me rest in the meadow grass and leads me beside the quiet streams.  He restores my failing health.  He helps me do what honors him the most.  Even when walking through the dark valley of death I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me, guarding, guiding all the way.  You provide delicious food for me in the presence of my enemies.  You have welcomed me as your guest; blessings overflow!  Your goodness and unfailing kindness shall be with me all of my life, and afterwards I will live with you forever in your home.

Hug your family and tell them you love them. Today is another gift from God, which we are so thankful for, and He is so Good!

May God bless each one of you.

Good Monday morning!  How was everyone's weekend?  My weekend was mostly great.  Friday night was the bridal shower for my friend Jessica Silva.  It was a beautiful shower and so much fun.  I work with the most wonderful ladies who know how to have a great time.  Jessica was definitely showered with lots of love. This is a picture of all the ladies who hosted the shower.  Shelly, Randi, Bethany, Lisa, me, Patty, A'marie, Jessica, Carmen, Christina, and Sylvia.  Netty was also a hostess.

 Jessica Shower
Saturday morning Mike and I took off to San Diego to meet my friend Marga Cooley, who I am collaborating on our book with. We left the Imperial Valley that was having a major thunderstorm to a beautiful sunny San Diego day.   Marga and I got a lot done for the book and had a great time!  I will post a pic of us from yesterday tomorrow.  You can totally see God's hand on this project and I love how it is going so far.  Marga....you are awesome.  Thanks for everything!

I woke up on Sunday morning with a terrible sore throat and could hardly swallow anything.  I just generally felt lousy all day and layed low and just drank a ton and rested.  Jeff had it this week and as much as I tried not to catch it, I did.  The high point of the day was the San Diego Chargers win!!!  Yay.....41-10 over the Arizona Cardinals!  Next week we play the Oakland Raiders in Oakland.  Here is the picture that Tyler's babysitter took of Tyler doing the TOUCHDOWN SAN DIEGO CHARGERS pose.  His buddy Wyatt is with him.  Notice Tyler is showing that we are number 1 with one hand and the V for victory on the other hand!!!!  I love that little guy so much!

Tyler 24
Prayer requests:  Peace and comfort for families whose hearts are hurting over the passing of a loved one.  That they will feel God's comforting arms wrapped around them.  Also, for my friend Stacey Barbee's family on the passing of her father-in-law and for the Kayler Family who lost a loved one.

I could also use some prayers to get better.  I am staying home from work today to lay low some more and get some rest.  Everytime I get a sore throat I lose my voice and I need a voice when I work.  So please pray that gets better too.

Psalms 94 verse 19: Lord, when doubts fill my mind, when my heart is in turmoil, quiet me and give me renewed hope and cheer.

Have a marvelous day everyone!  Today is another gift from God and He is so Good!

Question:  What do you say to someone who sneezes?
