*****UPDATE*****

Dr. McClay talked to Leslie.  It is not the news we really wanted to hear but an aggressive plan is now going into place.  Leslie has 6 tumors that he can see.  5 are very small but 1 is a little larger then a ping pong ball.  That has to be removed by a neurosurgeon.  It will require a few days stay at the hospital.  Then an aggressive  specialized radiation treatment will start.  That can only be done in San Diego.  Don't know much about that yet.  Everything will have to wait until they remove the tumor first.  Hopefully we'll hear from the neurosurgeon today.

Thank you for keeping Leslie encouraged here with your comments and by the phone calls.  Please continue to pray for strength, comfort, total healing and that God will have everything move smoothly and swiftly.

We have HOPE in the Lord!  God is Good!

Will keep you updated as we hear things.  Should hear from the Dr. again later today.

Hi folks, it's Mike.  As you know, Leslie had a PET scan 2 weeks ago that showed a suspicious area in her brain.  Today we had an MRI and the results don't look promising;  Leslie has several spots on her brain that they are calling tumors and some swelling of the brain.  We have an appointment scheduled for next Tuesday with Dr McClay, the oncologist, we are hoping to have that appointment moved up.  We don't understand why these tumors didn't show up on the PET scan, which is specific for cancer.  We won't really know anything until we see Dr McClay.

We need your prayers NOW.  Please play for;

Miraculous healing

Hi everyone!  Thank you for keeping me in your prayers today.  I actually had to go in this morning to have the test done.  Everything went well.  They got the IV started on the first stick (yahoo) and it stayed strong the whole time it was in.  I will hopefully know something soon.  My blood work was fine.....just a tiny bit anemic but I will take some extra iron for that.  Of course my oncologist will go through the results with a fine tooth comb too.  I see him a week from tomorrow.  Thanks everyone for all of the love you send my way.  The endless encouragement from everyone is so amazing!

Are you all getting ready for Thanksgiving???  Anyone started their Christmas shopping yet?  I am answering "YES" to both.  I am usually done with my shopping by Thanksgiving every year......but I am a liitle behind this year.  Hope to be done by Dec. 1st!

Have a great evening!! God is Good!!

Hey everyone!!

Tomorrow afternoon I will have the MRI on my brain.  The Dr. has ordered it with contrast so you know what that means.....yep, they have to start an IV.  Could you pray that my veins hold strong again and that they get it on the first try?  I am a little anxious about the IV.  MRI's don't bother me at all.  Will you also pray that everything is okay with the brain scan?  I am not sure when I will get the results.  I have an appointment with my oncologist on November 25th.  But Mike works at the hospital where I will be having my test  and may be able to get results this week.  I will keep you all posted.

Also I have another prayer request.  A friend of mine by the name of Cyndi Cox, who I met when her twin girls were in Kindergarten with my daughter Jenna has been diagnosed with cancer and has already had her first treatment this week.  She has a very long road ahead of her with chemo treatments, surgery and then more chemo treatments.  She and her family sure could use the prayers and support right now.  Will keep you updated on her too.

Thanks so much!  Hope you are all having a super Sunday!  This is the day that the Lord has made!  Let us rejoice and be glad in it!
