4:00 p.m. update...scans were a piece of cake.  Prayers were answered....I am at peace...God is so Good!!  Love you!

Good Thursday morning!  I have so much to be thankful for!  Your prayers for me are such a treasure!  I saw the doc yesterday and he started me on some medicine called Tamiflu.  My fever finally broke and I feel like I am on the road to recovery.  I won't be working for the rest of the week though.  I already have all of next week off for Thanksgiving break and I am so grateful for that.  Gives me more time to get stronger before I see the kids again.  I am still on today to have all my scans done.  I won't know the results until I see my oncologist on Tuesday, November 30th.  I feel a real peace about it though.  Thank you for praying.

I wanted to share with you all some pictures from Jessica and Ricardo's wedding last Saturday.  She is not only a friend but we work together too.  Here is a pic of me and Jess on her big day.  Isn't she gorgeous?

We all had such a fun time. It was great being at an event where my co-workers were all dressed up!  Congrats again to Jess and Ricardo!  Can't wait to see you when you get back from Cancun.

I have an update on the little girl named Electra who was in a bad car accident and we have been praying for.  She has been moved to a Children's Rehab hospital and her prognosis is "hopeful".  I will take that anyday.  It will be a long recovery but she and the family would love for her to get some get well cards.  Her address is:  Electra Snow    St. Louis Children's Hospital      One Children's Place      12th floor West     Room 16     St. Louis, Missouri    63110.  Please if you get a chance to send her a card that would be great!  Keep her in your prayers.

Romans 15 verse 5:  May God who gives patience, steadiness, and encouragement help you to live in complete harmony with each other--each with the attitude of Christ toward the other.

Have a super day everyone!  Today is another gift from God and He is so Good!

2:45 p.m. update......Hello everyone!  I just got back from the Drs. office.  I have a good case of the flu.   He prescribed to me something called tamoflu (sp?)  Anyone ever had it?  He said after 5 days I will be as good as new.  He also told me to get the flu shot in a couple of weeks.  It was hard to physically go and see the doc because I feel lousy, but am glad I did and will be thankful when this is over.  I still have my scans tomorrow.  Thanks everyone for your prayers!  I so need them and have felt them.  You all make my heart happy!!

Have a good evening.....today is another gift from God and He is so Good!

Leslie is still not feeling up to par.  She has a doctors appointment today to try and see what this bug is, and she has her scans tomorrow.  Please keep her in your prayers.

Thanks, Mike

God is good!

Good Tuesday morning!  I had a tough night last night so I am not up to blogging this morning.  I had Mike post this picture of Tyler for me.  This is for you Terrie Olstowski!  She gave him this shirt when he was born.  This is where Terrie graduated from.

I still seem to be running a low grade temp this morning.  Please pray that I get over this soon.  I wish you all a terrific day!

Today is another gift from God and He is so Good!!  Write down something you are thankful for today.

Good Monday morning!!  Thank you Lord for the blessing of another new week!  We had a great weekend!  The 4 days I had off just seemed to go by in a flash.  My friend Jessica's wedding was so beautiful and fun!  I have pictures to share with you of her wedding later this week.  Congrats to the new Mr. & Mrs. Salgado!!  Everything about your wedding was perfect!

Last night I started to run a 102 temp that hasn't broken yet and I ache all over.  Anyone had this yet?  How long did it last?  Well me and my bed are going to be best friends today.  I sure hope to be able to make it back to work tomorrow.

Well the day is coming fast for my next scans to see if I still have a spot on my lungs.  I can't begin to thank you all for faithfully keeping me in your prayers that the "spot is a not"!  My test is on Thursday afternoon.  I don't have an appointment yet with my oncologist but will let you know that soon.  Please keep my emotions about the whole thing in your prayers too.  Sometimes it is just a big roller coaster ride.  I am standing in faith that I am healed and that they will find nothing.  Please take that stand with me.  I am thankful and appreciate your encouragement.

Today is day 15 on your "thankful for" lists.  Keep them going everyone.  It is so great to hear of so many doing this.

Here are some more Boston pictures.....we are visiting the Old State House Museum.  Here are Jenna and Tyler standing next to Phillis Wheatley, the first African-American woman in United States' history to have her poetry published .  Tyler was getting a kick out of her.

Here is Tyler crawling around the old wooden floors and loving every minute of it.

Good Saturday morning!  Mike and I are getting ready to head to San Diego this morning to go to my dear friend Jessica Silva's wedding.  She is marrying a wonderful man named Ricardo Salgado.  I wish you both God's blessings on your future lives together.  Can't wait to see you walk down that aisle Jess!!

I would also like to wish my sister Monica and her hubby Gregg a very "Happy 1 year Anniversary" tomorrow!  That year just flew by!  What a great wedding that was!

I did not get one thing accomplished yesterday.  I have a touch of some bug and was down and out for the day.  So Poppi and Tyler spent the day playing.  Poor Jenna has somehow thrown out her upper back which has caused such muscle tightness it has popped one of her ribs out of place.  She could use all our prayers for healing.  Between that and her fractured wrist she is not doing well.

Here are a couple more pics from our Boston trip.  This is Tyler with one boot off and one on.  He didn't want to wear them and kept pulling them off.  The red bricks in the middle are the Freedom Trail.  You just follow that throughout the city and it takes you to all the historical sites.

Caroline....they didn't have the swan boats.  They were already put up for the season.  I will try to find that book for Tyler too.  Looking forward to your daughter Jenny's wedding too!  Very exciting time for the Jaime Family!

Terrie O.....not sure what kind of boots Tyler was wearing but they were pretty cushy.  Peggy bought them for his birthday.

Even though I didn't see the game last week my San Diego Chargers won!!  They have a bye week this week so no Charger game tomorrow.  Next week we host the Denver Broncos.

Prayer requests:  Someone has asked that we take the day and just thank God for all the blessings in our lives.  He has answered so many of our prayers and does miracles daily!  Thank you God for new mercies each day.  Our God is an awesome God!

Ephesians 3 verse 20:  Now glory be to God who by his mighty power at work within us is able to do far more than we would ever dare to ask or dream of--infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, or hopes.

Have a great Saturday and weekend everyone!!  See you on Monday!  Today is another gift from God and He is so Good!!

Thanksgiving question:  Now to the best part of Thanksgiving dinner.....PIES!!  What is your favorite?  What kinds do you have at your dinner?  Whip cream??  Jenna and I are the pie makers in our family and we do several kinds.
