Good Friday morning!  Did you all have a good week?  Time is just flying by right now and before you know it we will be celebrating Thanksgiving.  So looking forward to it!  Remember to write down what you are thankful for today.  Tyler and I had a great day yesterday.  He helped Nani with her house work because I made everything we did into a game.  Wait till he is big enough to know better. haha!  Today Poppi is off too so we are going to take Tyler out today and run around.

Here are some pictures of Jen, Ty and I in the Boston Commons Park.  The weather is cloudy and drizzly.  Can you imagine how much more vivid these fall colors would be if it was a sunny day?  Here is Jen and Ty by the pond in the park.

Prayer requests: Continued prayers for a couple who are having some serious marital problems.  They are seeking marriage counseling and want to make it work.  They have asked our prayer warriors here for strength to work through their issues.

Romans 10 verse 11:  For the Scriptures tell us that no one who believes in Christ will ever be disappointed.

Have a fantabulous day everyone!  Today is another gift from God and He is so Good!

Thanksgiving question:  Do you serve cranberry sauce at Thanksgiving?  Yes we do.  Although I am not a big fan my brother Donald makes me eat a little every year.

Good Thursday morning!!  Happy Veteran's Day!  This is a day set aside to honor all the men and women who have served in our military.  We want to send a HUGE thanks to all of you and let you know how much we appreciate all that you do to protect our country.  God's blessings on you and your family's lives.

I am off of work today and tomorrow for the Veteran's Day holiday.  So this morning and tomorrow I have my little Ty-Ty coming over to hang out while momma has to work.  He is going to help Nani today catch up with some house work.  Yeah you know what that means....not a lot of house work will get done.  haha!

We had such a great time in Boston or as the locals like to say, "Bahston".  The people of Boston were so kind and helpful.  The city was so clean and beautiful.  We were able to see and tour much of the city.  Walking the Freedom Trail was so neat.  We loved seeing all the historical buildings and to learn so much about our history.  The beautiful fall colors were still on the trees and going through the Boston Commons park was gorgeous.  Jenna went to her conferences during the day while Tyler and I entertained ourselves and in the afternoon is when we did all the sightseeing.  Jenna really enjoyed her conference too.  They had a food expo there that Tyler and I were able to attend with her that was fun.  So many companies were there with so many samples to give out.  By the time we walked through it all we didn't need any lunch.  We actually met the actor that plays the "sun" part of the Jimmy Dean sausage commercials.  He was so nice.  Here is a pic of us with him.

Tyler LOVED Tony the Tiger.  He even let Tony hold him.  Here is our pic with him.

This is the Laughing Cow.  Tyler thought he was cool too.

Tomorrow I will start showing Boston pics.  Wanted to show you the convention pics first.  I was so thankful that we were able to go on this trip.  It was quick but well worth it!  Tyler did wonderful.  He is such a trooper.

Prayer requests:  Pray for safety and protection for the military men and women serving our country right now.  That God will bring them all home safely to their families.  My cousin Anthony is one of them.  Please keep a dear friend of mine in your prayers that her medical tests and results will go well.  Also, Jenna has had a fractured wrist for a week or so that is partially casted.  If you could pray that it will heal quickly.  It is hard to pick up and carry a 1 year old when you can only do it with one arm.

Psalms 100 verse 4:  Go through his open gates with great thanksgiving; enter his courts with praise.  Give thanks to him and bless his name.

Have a super day everyone!!  Today is another gift from God and He is so Good!!

Thanksgiving question....what vegetable do you serve at Thanksgiving??  Got any good tried and true vegetable recipes?

Good Wednesday morning!!  I missed you all!  We are back from Boston and we had an awesome time,  but I am soooooooo tired and slept until the last possible minute this morning. But I will be back to my regular blogging tomorrow with pictures.  I wanted to take a moment and thank you all for praying for Tyler's trip back on the airplane.  He did great and didn't seem to have the ear popping issues or the motion sickiness that he had going to Boston.  I know it is because the prayer warrriors prayed.

Due to all the traveling I did not get a chance to get on the blog yesterday to wish my Dad a very "Happy Birthday"!!!!!  I hope you had a great day of fun!  I will talk to you later today.

I do have a big prayer request.  Randi Ryan's father-in-law and girlfriend were in a terrible car accident and both suffered numerous injuries.  Please keep them in your prayers as they recover.  Their names are Steve and Janice.  At this time the family has been told that due to spinal cord injuries, Steve won't be able to walk again.

My sister Monica is looking for a good home for her dog Sammi.  If you are interested at all please e-mail me at leslie@mgilbert.net and I will give you her phone number.  Thanks Monica and Gregg for everything yesterday!  By the way.....they had a wonderful time on their European trip!

Have a wonderful day everyone!  Today is another gift from God and He is so Good!!

Are you still working on your daily 'what you are thankful for'  lists???

Leslie, Jenna and Goobie are having a great time in Boston.  The weather is BRISK and the fall colors are beautiful.  They even got their picture taken with the real sun from the Jimmie Dean Sausage commercials at the Dietetic convention.

Little Tyler didn't do so well on the flight over though, he had ear and motion sickness problems on the plane.  Please pray they have a good and safe trip back Tuesday.

God is good

Good Friday morning!!  Thank you God for another beautiful day!  God always gives His best to those who leave the choice with Him.  Isn't that the truth?

Another week has just flown by.   Woohoo!!  Ready for the weekend!  I am almost packed and ready to leave early tomorrow  morning.  I won't be blogging again until Monday.  I will either blog from Boston if I get the chance or Mike will blog and give you an update on how it is going.  Thank you for praying for a safe trip for us.  We are excited!  Tyler's first adventure on an airplane!  Oh my goodness......

My friend Mary Jo Ramsay is here visiting from Indiana.  Jenna and I had fun seeing you last night MJ and visiting with Jean, Elena and Laurie too!  Happy that you got to see Tyler again too.  Kori.....we missed you!  You need to come out again for another visit!

Here are some more red wagon pictures.  This is of Tyler getting in the wagon as Poppi was putting it together.

My sister Monica and brother-in-law Gregg are due back from Europe on Monday.  Last e-mail I received from her said that they were having a great time!  I will try to get some pictures from her to show you.  Thank you so much for the many cards we have received and continue to receive for comfort over the passing of Bryan.  Your prayers for comfort and peace are such a treasure to us.

Prayer requests:  For Angel Linda's friend Sharon.  She is going through a lot right now.  Please read Angel Linda's comment yesterday.  Let's keep Sharon lifted up in prayer.  Angel Linda.....could you e-mail me her address so I can send her a card?  Also for those that are still looking for a job.  Please pray that something will become available soon.  Also a request for someone who continues to have bad  headaches.  She has tried everything out there (including surgery) and they are still bad.  She has been suffering for years.  She asks us to pray for the Lord to heal her of this.

1 Chronicles 29 verse 11:  Yours is the mighty power and glory and victory and majesty.  Everything in the heavens and earth is yours, O Lord, and this is your kingdom.  We adore you as being in control of everything.

Have a fantabulous day and weekend everyone!!!  See you again on Monday!  Today is another gift from God and He is so Good!!

Thanksgiving question.....Does you family serve a sweet potato dish?  Yes we do....again my sister-in-law Noni makes an awesome sweet potato casserole.  I love it so much she makes a little one just for me to take home.  Thanks Noni!!
