Happy Sunday morning!  We had a great time last night at the Gilbert Family Christmas party.  I was probably up and about more then I should of been but it was great seeing and visiting with everyone.  The food was fabulous and I ate a ton!  Thanks to all who had a hand in that!  Everything was just beautiful!  To Mike's brothers Greg and Bryan.....You rock!

A good friend of ours Clyde Carson came and captured a lot of the evening with a video camera and lots of pictures were taken.  I didn't have time to go through mine.....hopefully this week.

I did not sleep well last night so between that and being out last night I am very tired today.  Unfortunately the side effects of the daily chemo are starting to really kick in....so it will be a lazy day for me watching football.....GO SAN DIEGO CHARGERS and pretty much working on simple projects from the couch.  If I get a burst of energy this afternoon I would love to make my little brother Donald his favorite Christmas cookies.  I do it for him every year!  He loves it!

Other then that I am ready for Christmas!  So I will force myself to relax these next few days so I can really enjoy Christmas Eve and Day!  Even though I haven't been able to do all that I wanted this year.....I feel so very blessed that I was able to accomplish what I did.  Thanks to all of you that have helped in so many ways.

Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers as I go through these side effects and the next round of chemo which is December 23rd @ 2:00.

Have a blessed Sunday.....relax......have fun today!  Thanks Jessica Silva for coming out yesterday morning for a wonderful, relaxing, fun visit and the Starbucks!  Love the DECAF hot caramel macchiatos!!

Thanks Monica for ALL of your wonderful help yesterday!!!  I so appreciate all you are doing for me.  Which is spoiling me to death!

GOD IS PEACE & JOY AND HE IS GOOD!!

Good Saturday morning!  I slept well last night.  Taking it easy this morning but seem to have some extra energy (steroids) this morning!  I feel like it is going to be so hard to stay still today. :)  What a blast this day will be!  Lots of fun stuff for our family!  Our family is starting to come in from everywhere for the "Gilbert Christmas Party" tonight.  It is always so much fun and tons and tons of food.  We are really looking forward to it and with visiting with everyone.  (Yes....I will be super careful around everyone....I carry hand sanitizer with me everywhere!)   I will try to take some pics tonight and post them when I can.

We are heading out to Jenna's house in a little while to watch Christmas movies with her and who ever else is here.  I want to be rested and ready to go tonight.

I wish you all some relaxing Christmas fun today.  Will you promise to take 30 seconds today to focus on and remember why we are celebrating this season?   Maybe it will help slow your day down for a minute and it won't seem stressful.  I also hope you are able to accomplish and get done everything on your list too.  Just remember no matter how hectic it gets......stop and smile and remember how incredibly blessed we really are.

Thank you for your prayers.  Because of you.....I am able to take some time and enjoys the holidays too.  God is listening and I am so grateful!  I Love you!

GOD IS LOVE AND HE IS GOOD!

Good Friday morning!  I slept pretty well last night.  A whole 5 1/2 hours.....which is better then 4.  I'll take it.  So far so good with the meds.  I think we have it figured out now.  As the weeks go by on this chemo, adjustments will be made.  My body is in a little shock but is adjusting.....but when I hit it again and again with the chemo I will tire more and it starts taking a toll.  But I have hope and faith that it won't be that bad!  I have tremendous prayer warriors!  Looks like I will be losing some of my hair again but time will tell.  He said maybe just thinning but couldn't promise.  So far it hasn't started.

I felt up to it and had energy last night to attend a surprise "40th" birthday for my friend and co-worker Krissy Hobelman.  Her mom Patty Watson hosted the party at her house.  We did surprise her (she thought it was a cookie exchange) and had awesome food and a lot of laughs!  It was so great to get out of the house for even just a little bit.  Thanks for the fun girls!

We are invited to another Christmas party tonight but we will decline and I will rest.  Mike's brothers host a big "Gilbert Family Christmas Bash" every year and that is on Saturday night.  I would really like to go to that for a while and see all of our extended family and wonderful friends.  So that is my goal for the weekend.  My sister Monica is also coming down from San Diego to hang out with me this weekend and make sure I behave and rest.  We are going to finally sit down and watch 2 of our favorite Christmas movies......It's a Wonderful Life and Miracle on 34th Street.  Love those classics!  Then we will probably start watching some funny ones like "The Christmas Story."   Wanna come Donald and Noni??

Have fun in your pajamas today Waggoner Staff!  Let me know how the Christmas parties went.  I am thinking about you lots today.  Wish I could be there.  Tell Santa when he comes to the school that I have been pretty good this year! :)  I would like scrapbook stuff under my tree! :)

Have a fun day!  Is everyone done shopping?

GOD IS SO GOOD!!!  THANKS FOR PRAYING!!  (((HUGS)))

Good morning everyone!  Yep.....it is me.....Leslie!  I am feeling pretty good this morning too.  I slept for 5 hours straight last night which is good for me being on these steroids right now.  I do just lay there and rest for a couple of more hours before I get up.

Well it looks like we have now found the right anti-nausea drugs.  Tuesday was a bad day for me...very sick....but yesterday went great.  No nausea or sickness.  Sometimes there is discomfort, but not bad at all.  The first day I thought that there was no way I could do this. It was too hard.   But after finding the right combo of pills to help I know I can do this.  I do get tired but as long as I am not sick that is okay with me.  Thanks to everyone for praying so much for me.  The IV went great and while it is no fun sitting there and doing it......I just kept thinking about you all and how the prayers are being answered and how this is what is going to help heal me.  I CAN DO IT!  I WILL DO IT!  I AM DOING IT!  :)  There will be some side effects showing up soon.  Could you keep me in your prayers about that?  I pray that they are mild.  Or for none to show up at all!  God is bigger then all of this cancer!  He works miracles in my life daily!  Wow....I am really in awe sometimes with His amazing power and answers to prayers.  SO INCREDIBLY THANKFUL!!!!

I LOVE YOU ALL MY DEAR FAMILY AND FRIENDS!  This is such a busy time of year for everyone.....yet you have all taken time for me during this and I want you to know that I appreciate it so very much!  So grateful!  (teary eyed here).

Have an awesome day and remember to have some Christmas fun along the way.  Only 7 more days till Christmas!  Wow!   Are you ready????

Kim.....I pray for you daily.  Keep me posted on how the treatments are going.  Lynne B. - How are you doing?  Praying for you too.  Kristy P. - How is your mom?  Praying for her too.

I have tons of time to pray folks......lay it on me and I will get on it.

UPDATE: 12:40 ~ Leslie did great this morning.  No nausea.  In fact she is feeling pretty good.  Tired but good!  Thanks for your prayers.  Thank you God.

Things went well last night for Leslie.  She slept for a few hours and rested the rest of the time. (Steroids still won't let her sleep well, even with all of the stuff in her IV that should of helped more).  She seem to tolerate the IV chemo so far.  She took the nasty oral meds this morning with a new anti-nausea drug and we are waiting to see if it does the trick.  She is already having some discomfort.  We need prayer for a smooth morning.  By the way, she had a smile on her face the whole time while sitting in the chair yesterday.

She wanted me to tell everyone to pray for one of her friend and co-workers Kristi Pacheco's mom.  She has breast cancer and is having a mastectomy today.

Gaynell Irving.....she says thanks for the info.  She read it all.

Will update later.  Thanks again for praying.  She really feels uplifted.  She is also in great spirits!  So positive.

GOD IS GOOD!!!!
