Good morning!  I slept so much better last night!  Yes....I think I am finally starting to get over this head cold. 

Oh yeah....Cheryl, Jessica, Lisa, Peggy and Patty picked up on my vibes right away.....yes you guessed it.......desserts!  Ha! Ha!  Cheryl makes the best Texas sheet cake, Jessica cinnamon rolls, Lisa- cherry cheesecake squares, Peggy-Earthquake cake and Patty-cookies!  I am telling you.....being on these steroids are making me crave sweets like you wouldn't believe.  They are all so awesome and said to me "Finally.....you told us something that we can do for you and that is easy!"  So I am all set for a while except I need to pick on a few more of you like Denise Rogers.....where's the queen of chocolate?  :)  Terrie Olstowski....your pudding layered dessert,  and Mary Jo Ramsay I would pick on you for your cobblers but you live too far away.  This is fun!  Because you know when the chemo starts this will be all over with.  Dr. said I will definitely have no appetite then.....so it is a good thing I am trying to put weight on now.

Speaking of chemo start dates.....we are still waiting to hear on one.  I am use to this waiting game so I figure it is all in God's time.  As soon as I know anything I will get it out there.  I feel a real peace about the whole thing though.  I am ready to do it and get it done.

GOD IS LOVE AND HE IS GOOD!!

Good morning!  Well I got a good 5 hours of sleep last night.  7 hours would of been nicer, but I will take what I can get.  I had another wonderful day at work.  I am so very tired though when I am done.  I did as promised and came home and rested the rest of the day.  I am feeling a little better today actually.  I think I might be on the upward climb now.

During all of the hustle and bustle of the Christmas season.....which by the way I love all of the crazy fun with Christmas and go, go, go..........I always try to take a few moments to chill and focus on my main reason for celebrating Christmas.  Our Savior Jesus' birthday!  I had that opportunity last night to focus on that......really puts it all into perspective and I prayed for all of you.  My prayers for you all is to have peace, joy, HOPE, happiness and  love throughout this month and all year long. 

Well I need to run and get ready to go to work.  Have an awesome day and some Christmas fun too.  I can't believe it is December 10th already!  Yikes.....it is going by way to fast!  Are you ready for Christmas?

GOD IS PEACE AND HE IS GOOD!!!!

Good morning!  Sorry I did not get back to blogging yesterday.  I had a GREAT day at work but did come home very tired.  It was SO GREAT to see all of the kids (lots of hugs) and my co-workers again!  I actually made it through the whole day.  I should of come straight home I know but did run a few must needed to be done errands and then came home and parked it on the couch the rest of the evening.  Still trying to fight a head cold that doesn't want to seem to let go.  I promise I am coming straight home today (yes,  Mom I will) and making myself rest.

Still no word yet on when the chemo start date is.  It is looking like next week sometime. I am thrilled because I need another week so I can get over this cold and get stronger first.  We also have two big events this weekend to attend and I am so looking forward to going and having some fun!

Could you please pray that my head cold gets better and that I can gain more strength before next week.  I am going to throw my sister Monica into that request too.  She has the same head cold (Mom told you to get more rest too) and is miserable too.  Thanks!  It is what keeps me going.

GOD IS GOOD!

Good morning everyone!  Didn't sleep to good last night but I am happy to say that I am going to work today.  Yep....I totally feel up to it.  Don't know if I'll stay the whole day but I promise to take it easy and not do too much.  I am ready to see the kids!  They really make my day!  I'll blog again later today and let you know how it went. 

I want to share a real quick story with you.  You know how being on these steroids have really increased my sweets and carbs cravings like crazy.   Well my friend Tisha Carson makes the worlds best pineapple upside down cake.  Seriously.....she would win any national competition.  I have been the recepient of her cakes in the past and eating it is heaven.  Well when I woke up on Saturday morning one of the first things I thought of was I would give anything to have one of Tisha's pineapple upside down cakes right now.  I was like "Hey God....I wonder if I will get one sometime"?  I never mentioned it to anyone.   Guess what showed up at my house last night?  Yep.....her famous pineapple upside down cake!  I am in heaven!  Thank you Tisha.....a little angel must have whispered in your ear that I really wanted one.

GOD IS GOOD!!!!

Good Sunday morning!  I slept well last night!  Got 5 hours of solid sleep and actually dozed off and on again for the next three.  I am feeling more energetic this morning and some of the swelling has gone down in my face.  My head cold seems to be taking a turn for the better. I behaved pretty well yesterday too.  I did get Christmas cards written out and some presents wrapped.  I want to say thanks to my Mother and Father in law for bringing us an awesome dinner yesterday and to my sister-in-law Mary for the baked goodies.  The boys had those devoured fast.....oops maybe I helped devour them too. :)   You know I am still on those darn steroids and that seems to be all I am craving now.......sweets!  (That is my excuse right now that I am sticking to!)  Besides that I am back to the same story of having to gain weight again before I start the chemo.

I would like to share this morning how wonderful you have all been to me and my family.  You all not only have hearts of gold.....you all are one BIG heart of gold.  The generosity, love, care, support, encouragement and prayers are literally getting me through every single minute of my day.  I don't know what I did to deserve any of this but please always remember how grateful my family and I are.  We are blessed and I thank God for you everyday.  It is because of all of you that I am excited to face a new day because I know I have the support to face each one and that you will be there to pick me up when I start to fall.  Most treasured to me.....your prayers!  Thanks!

I am still not sure yet when my chemo will start.  Supposedly will hear something tomorrow.  Should start this week.....maybe next.

Have a relaxing Sunday......enjoy your family........the holiday fun........and give a moment to think about why we are celebrating Christmas.  It sure helps keep things focused and in perspective.
