Good Saturday morning!  Ahhhhhh........so happy to be on a two week vacation!  We had a lot of Christmas fun at school yesterday.  We even got a visit from Santa Claus. The kids were super excited to see him.  Here is a picture of the jolly old guy with me and my friend Jessica.

Thank you so much Gaynell and Elena for starting off my Christmas vacation with a great time yesterday afternoon. That was so relaxing!  Love your new gorgeous kitchen Gaynell! 

Last night Poppi and I had our Tyler Michael for the evening and for a sleepover while mommy and daddy went out to a Christmas party.  We had so much fun with Tyler!  I just love giving him a bath and putting him to sleep at night.  He is such a cuddle bug.  So guess who is with me right now??  Yep.....I told Jenna that she can't have him this morning.  Nani and Ty have some more playing to do.  :)

Angel Linda......I absolutlely loved the story you shared about your sister in yesterday's comments.  We will all keep your Dr. appointment Wednesday in our prayers.  Keep us all updated after your appointment. 

Prayer requests:   Continued prayer for Randi Ryan's father-in-law Steve Ryan,  as he continues to recover from a car accident.  Also that I will hear good news from my neurosurgeon on my latest brain scan tests.  My appointment is on Monday in San Diego.  Also today is Kelly Berg's memorial service.  Pray for strength for her husband, children and whole family.

Christmas question......Is your Christmas tree decorated in a theme or is it a mixture of years of collected different ornaments?  Aren't the ornaments that your kids made when they were small the cutest ornaments?  They are my favorite!

Good Friday morning!!  Woohoo!  Last day of school for two weeks!  Christmas party day!  It is also pajama day at school.  What is better then being able to show up to work in your comfy pajamas! 

We had a blast last night at Jenna's house for the cookies exchange party.  Everyone brought some really awesome cookies.  Here is a picture of some of the cookies that were brought.  Jeff and Mike are thrilled that I came home with a ton of new cookies to try.  It won't take them long either to finish them off.

My San Diego Chargers won last night!  They beat the San Francisco 49er's 34 - 7!  Yes!!!!!!!!  The Chargers don't play again until December 26th against the Cincinnati Bengals.  Keep going Chargers!  You can make it to the play offs!

I have an update on Amy Bonillas.  The results came back positive.  She does have malignant melanoma.  But the Dr. said it stayed on the surface and is confident he got it all.  As a precautionary measure he is going to do a "safety cut" all the way around to make sure it is all gone.  Please keep her in your prayers as she has this done on the 30th and for all the future spots that need to be removed.  Thank you so much for your prayers.  We are keeping a positive attitude and faith that this will be over and done with soon.

Prayer requests:  Stress!!  I have some prayer requests for the stress in a few peoples lives to ease up and that the situations causing the stress will get better.  Let's also continue to keep our eyes and ears open to someone who may need a little help for Christmas.  If we can help in a teeny tiny way, it will be the answer to that person's prayers.

Psalms 7 verse 17:  Oh, how grateful and thankful I am to the Lord because he is so good!  I will sing praise to the name of the Lord who is above all lords.

Christmas question......Who is all done with their Christmas shopping and wrapping?  Who hasn't even started yet? 

Good Thursday morning!!  How is you week going? We had a few good shaking earthquakes yesterday.  Let's hope that they have stopped now.   Counting today there are only 9 more days until Christmas.  I was a busy cookie baker again last night.  I made some cookies for a Christmas cookie exchange party that I am going to tonight.  Yep......can you believe it???  I am going to the party instead of watching my San Diego Chargers play their game tonight.  I guess you can say that cookies win out over football. haha!  All I have to say is GO CHARGERS!!  You must win to stay in it!!

I have been thinking a lot about the words to the Christmas carols that we sing, and I just love the words to the Christmas song called "Mary's Boy Child."  Here are a couple of lines from it.  The second line is so awesome.  Go to You Tube and listen to this song or look up the lyrics.  They are beautiful.  It is a great song.

Hark now hear the angels sing, a king was born today
And man will live forever more, because of Christmas Day.
Mary's boy child Jesus Christ, was born on Christmas Day.

 
Look at this precious grandson of mine.  Here is a picture of him with my Santa at just under 2 months old and here he is again at 13 months old.  Every year I hope to take a picture like this so we can all watch how much he grows in a year.   He sure does keep getting more and more fun!  I thank God that he is healthy and happy.

The kinder kids at my school are having their Christmas program this afternoon.  I know they will be so cute and their parents and families are going to love it!  Can't wait!

Prayer requests:  For Amy Bonillas today as she gets her test results this afternoon.  Pray that she hears good news. Also for Electra Snow who is still in a long recovery from her car accident.  Also for the young lady who attempted suicide and her family.  Pray for strength and healing there.  One last one is for the woman who was abused and finally got the strength to leave and try to make it on her own.  She is hanging in there but it is very tough.  Pray for her safety and protection and continued strength.

James 1 verse 17:  But whatever is good and perfect comes to us from God, the Creator of all light, and he shines forever without change or shadow.

Christmas question.......Have you ever gone on a sleigh ride in the snow?  No, I don't think I ever have.  It would be super fun to do sometime though.

Good Wednesday morning!!  Only 3 more days of school and then I am off for two whole weeks!  WooHoo!!  Can't wait! The kids at school are very excited about Christmas coming.  For them it seems like an eternity.  Counting today there are only 10 more days till Christmas.  Oh I want the time to slow down.  I want to enjoy each moment for as long as I can.

Each year we are reminded that Christmas should not be just about giving and receiving presents. But if we really think about Christmas, it truly is all about gift giving! At Christmas we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, the greatest gift ever given, by the greatest gift-giver of all, our wonderful God and Father!

Here are a couple pics of Tyler.  Poppi taught him how to push the button on this snowman Christmas decoration.  When you push the button, it will sing, jingle and dance. 
You can't tell in this picture but Tyler is dancing with the snowman.  He loved it.

Here are a couple of corny jokes one of my students told me and I have to share with you.  What do snowmen eat for breakfast?  Frosted Flakes.  What did the Gingerbread Man put on his bed?  A cookie sheet. hahaha!!  Hope that put a little smile on your face.

I have an appointment with my neurosurgeon to get the results to my latest brain scan.  It will be Monday, December 20th at 11:00.  Thank you so much for your continued prayers for my health.

Christmas question.......Do you make candy or fudge for Christmas?  What kind?

Good Tuesday morning!!  What a perfect time of year to send out cards to someone who could really use a pick me up.  There are a lot of people who need a

"thinking of you" or "get well" or just a simple "hello" card to know that someone is thinking about them, praying for them and cares about them.  Please know that everyone needs to be uplifted and encouraged.  So buy an inexpensive box of Christmas cards and send them out unexpectedly to a few people who would be so surprised.  Guaranteed smile on their faces, will make their day......and so simple to do.

Here is Tyler happily pushing his toy all around Nani's living room.  He isn't walking yet.  Jenna and Jeff didn't walk until they were 13 months and it looks like Tyler is on the same track.......

Counting today there are only 11 more days till Christmas!  I am about ready and I am really enjoying each day......even when it gets hectic.  I take a few minutes and thank God for the gift of another precious day. 

Prayer requests:  Some people have asked me to ask all the prayer warriors to pray for their depression.  One of them told me that it is worse for them around Christmas and they have such a hard time getting out of bed every morning.  Please pray that God will heal them of their depression and that the right medications and counseling will help.

Luke 2 verse 20:  Then the shepherds went back again to their fields and flocks, praising God for the visit of the angels, and because they had seen the child, just as the angel had told them.
