Hark! the herald angels sing, "Glory to the newborn KIng"  Peace on earth, and mercy mild, God and sinners reconciled......aaahhhh, another one of my favorite Christmas carols to sing.

Good Monday morning!!  Where did the weekend go?  How was everyone's weekend?   I spent a lot of time on Saturday baking Christmas cookies.  Loved doing that.  I also got a chance to snuggle on the couch with my hubby and watch a Christmas movie.  After church yesterday Mike and I had our little buddy Tyler with us.  He was helping Nani wrap presents and I decided to put him in this bag and take a picture.  He was cracking up.  He thought it was funny.

WooHoo.......my San Diego Chargers shut out the Kansas City Chiefs yesterday.  Where was this great Charger team a week ago?  We play this Thursday night at home against the San Francisco 49er's.  GO CHARGERS!!!

Counting today there is only 12 more days till Christmas.  Are you getting ready?

I would like to wish two very sweet ladies a big "Happy Birthday" today!!  Happy Birthday Ginna Gaddis and Genelle Billings!  Hope you both have a fantabulous day!

Prayer requests:  Please keep in your prayers for peace, strength and comfort the Berg/Horne/Blair families.  It is with a very sad heart to tell you a wonderfully talented and beautiful woman, Kelly Berg, had a stroke and went home to be with our Lord yesterday. She leaves behind a loving husband, Danny and two children.   No time is a good time for a loved one to pass away so unexpectedly, but it just seems a little harder around the holiday time.  I am so blessed to have known you Kelly and to witness your amazing musical talent.  God now has another beautiful angel with Him in heaven.

Luke 2 verse 17, 18 & 19:  The shepherds told everyone what had happened and what the angel had said to them about this child.  All who heard the shepherds' story expressed astonishment, but Mary quietly treasured these things in her heart and often thought about them.  To be continued...

Have a marvelous day everyone!!  Today is another gift from God and He is so Good!

Christmas question....What is one of the most unusual or interesting gifts that you have ever received for Christmas?

Good Saturday morning!  What a beautiful morning it is too!  We could not of picked a better night than last night to have a parade.  We didn't even need our coats.  We had a great time with the kids on the float singing Christmas carols and waving to everyone.  It was fun to see so many people that we knew along the parade route and wish them a Merry Christmas!

Here is a picture from last night.  I am here sitting on our float with my little kinder buddies Brooke Watson and Emily Phillips.

Here is my friend Lisa Alloway who was there helping too.

So many fun things happening this weekend.  I can say though that I am officially done Christmas shopping.  Now it is time to wrap which I hope to get some done this weekend.  I am also going to be doing some Christmas cookie baking too.  I love making Christmas cookies!  Christmas in a Small Town is today too in Imperial if you want to go and have some fun there.  Whatever you are doing relax and enjoy the moment and most of all have fun!

Since I won't be blogging tomorrow I would like to wish my sweet brother-in-law Gregg a very "Happy Birthday" on Sunday!!  Have a super fun day Gregg!!

My San Diego Chargers are home playing against the Kansas City Chiefs.  GO CHARGERS!!!

Prayer requests:  Prayer for a friend who had a procedure done yesterday.  Please pray that everything went well.   Also for a friend named Kelly who had a stroke.  Please pray that there is no damage and that her recovery will go well.  Let's also keep our women and men who are serving in the military in our prayers for not only safety and protection but also for them and their families while they are away and can't spend Christmas together.  We thank them all so much for their service to our country.

Luke 2 verse 16  They ran to the village and found their way to Mary and Joseph.  And there was the baby, lying in a manger.  To be continued....

Have a super day and weekend!  See you on Monday!   Even though this is a very busy time of the year, take a few moments every now and then to relax, enjoy and remember the reason why we even celebrate Christmas in the first place.  The best gift we have ever received was the birth of Jesus.

Christmas question.........Are your stockings hung?   Yes mine are.  I hang them up so I can enjoy how cute they are all month.

Good Friday morning!  Woohoo......I am ready for the weekend!  Tonight is the Christmas parade in Imperial.  It is such a cute parade and I am riding on the float with the kinder kids.  I always have such a great time doing that.  I just love to see the excitement on all the kids faces.  So if you are not doing anything tonight, come to the parade.  It starts at 6:00.

I have a really cool story to share with you.  This is a very condensed version.  On December 7, 2007 my co-worker Amy Bonillas' son Ryan was in the hospital just having been diagnosed with Kawasaki's disease and not doing well.  A sweet nurse gave Amy a little pocket angel with the word "hope" written on it. (little did we know at the time how far "hope" would travel) So Amy kept "hope in her pocket" and Ryan made a wonderful recovery.  Amy then passed "hope" onto me when I was diagnosed with cancer and I kept "hope in my pocket" for a long time. When I finished chemo and was given the all clear, I then passed "hope" onto another co-worker who was having health problems, then she ended up giving "hope" to her mom who then passed it back to me recently when I was waiting for my latest test results.  I gave "hope" back to my co-worker who on December 7, 2010 ended up giving "hope" back to Amy.  Amy was not only celebrating 3 years of her son Ryan's good health but Amy recently had a suspicious spot (more like chunk) removed from her arm and is now waiting the results.  A lot of us certainly know how hard waiting for results is. We all know that our "hope" and faith and strength is in the Lord.  I am asking all the prayer warriors to pray that Amy gets nothing but great results back.  Looks like "hope" has made a full circle back to Amy who I know will pass it onto someone else that needs a little "hope in their pocket".  I don't give this story justice, there are so many wonderful details,  but I hope you get the gist of it.  Thank you all so much for your prayers.  It is truly a treasure.

Here is a picture of Tyler at his babysitter's house sitting on one of her Christmas lawn decorations.

Prayer requests:  My sister-in-law Noni is having knee surgery on December 21st.  Please pray that everything will go smooth and that she has a speedy recovery.  Also for another friend who is waiting to hear when she will have surgery.  That she will feel good through the holidays until she has the surgery.

Update on the woman who attempted suicide.  Please keep her in your prayers.  She is still on a suicide watch.  Please continue to pray for her parents strength as they are worried about her and taking care of her two children.

Luke 2 verse 15:  When the great army of angels had returned again to heaven, the shepherds said to each other, "Come on!  Let's  go to Bethlehem!  Let's see this wonderful thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about."  To be continued.....

Aunt Evelyn.....I am using The Living Bible translation.  Much easier reading and understanding.

Have a fantabulous day everyone!!  Today is another gift from God and He is so Good!

Some of your favorite Christmas movies??  I can't go a year without watching -  It's a Wonderful Life, Miracle on 34th St.,  A Christmas Story, Christmas Vacation and The Santa Claus.

Good Thursday morning! I hope everyone is having a great week! Only 16 more days until Christmas! Time is passing by fast. Aaahhhh.......thank you again for surrounding me in prayer yesterday. It could not have gone better. My awesome nurse Mike Pearson got my IV started on the first try and honestly it did not hurt at all. Loren  who always does my brain scans treated me like a queen. Thanks to both of you for everything. I am waiting on a call from my neurosurgeons office to see when I go and get the results.  Please keep praying that we get good results. Thank you!!!!
I did get the results to my blood tests yesterday and I am still shocked that my white cell count and my red cell counts are low. They are still climbing, but at a snail’s pace. It sure does take a very long time for the body to recover from chemo. I need prayer that my body will fight whatever nasty bugs are out there this winter.
I did start the white cell booster shots last week. However I had a reaction to them and had to stop. My oncologist and I can’t figure out why. I took them fine during my chemo but after 3 shots my body was feeling horrible (lots of side effects). So Dr. Mc Clay wants me to wait and try again after Christmas and see what happens. If I react again we will discuss trying something new.
As you all know I have a chemo angel named Linda who I call a dear friend. She lives in Erie Pennsylvania where they have been hammered by snow. She sent me some pics yesterday that I wanted to share with you. This is the outside of her house! WOW!!! I cannot fathom what that would be like to live in. I am praying that it will stop for a while so the people in that town can get out and get some errands done.

Here is another pic looking out from her house.

How is the weather where you live?
Prayer requests.....For my Uncle Bob. He is 83 years old and not in good health. Pray also that we all keep our hearts and eyes opened to all of the children and families that need some help with food and gifts for Christmas. It is such a tough time for so many and if we could all just do a little something it would help enormously.

Luke 2 verses 13 & 14: Suddenly, the angel was joined by a vast host of others—the armies of heaven—praising God: “Glory to God in the highest heaven,” they sang, “and peace on earth for all those pleasing him.” To be continued......Have a super day everyone!! Today is another gift from God and He is so Good!!

Christmas question???? Do you like to watch the cheesy and sappy Hallmark Christmas movies on the Hallmark channel? Yep I do!

Good Wednesday morning!  Wow....what a night I had last night!  Over 200 ladies at my church got together for a fun Christmas party.  20+ different ladies volunteered to decorate one table for the party.  Every table was a different theme.  Jenna and I sat at our friend Denise Roger's table.  Her theme was a "red-neck" Christmas.  We loved it!  It is hard to see all the details but we drank from mason jars, wore a red neck scarf, deer antlers, had a toilet paper roll for our napkin rings, had a picture of an outhouse for our placemats and ate out of tin plates.  We even had toilet seat covers in our chairs. haha!  All the tables looked great and were so different from each other.  Jenna and I have decided that we will decorate a table next year.  Can't wait!  We already have an idea in our heads and a year to plan it.

 Womans Christmas 1

Here is Jenna, Denise (the red neck table host) and I last night. Thank you Denise for all the hard work and thought you put into the table.  We laughed a lot and appreciated everything that you and all the ladies did!  Thank you for our gift too!

Womens Christmas 2

Here is me, Jenna and Noni.  Noni sat at a cowboy/western themed table.
Women's Christmas 3
Thanks to Mary Seitz and her team for the awesome food!  Everything was perfect!

Angel Linda.......loving the stories.  Keep them coming!  Are you getting a break in the snow yet?

Only 17 more days until Christmas!!

This afternoon is my brain scan.  Please pray that it goes well and that my anxiety goes away about getting an IV.  Thanks everyone!

Prayer requests: As we get closer to Christmas we feel sad by those that are no longer with us.  Especially families that have lost a loved one recently.  I know our family misses Bryan so much.  Please pray that we all feel God's comforting arms wrapped around us and for peace.  I know in my heart that our loved ones are having the biggest, most beautiful Christmas celebration in heaven with Jesus himself!  That puts a smile on my face.

Luke 2 verses 11 & 12:  The Savior--yes, the Messiah, the Lord--has been born tonight in Bethlehem!  How will you recognize him?  You will find a baby wrapped in a blanket, lying in a manger!  To be continued...

Have a wonderful day everyone!!  Today is another gift from God and He is so Good!!

Christmas question???  Do you have a nativity set up for Christmas?  Yes I do.  I love my nativity set.
