Hey everyone......Gotta blog fast this morning.  My oncologist from San Diego called in the late afternoon yesterday to say he wanted me to come up for a visit this morning.....which means we have to leave by 7:15.  It is for my regular full body check up from head to toe and to discuss some other things.  I was suppose to have done this a couple of weeks ago but you know how busy life has gotten.  I have to stay on track with the program and so I am headed out to visit.  I was hoping to have a week off from appointments and stuff....but it is not looking like that will happen for a while.  It's okay......Mike and I will have a nice drive up.  No matter what we are doing....he and I have a blast!

Sandra Clary.....I do have your mom's eggnog pie recipe and it is THE BEST!!  I totally agree!  Kori Wainscott......I would love the recipe for the Derby pie!  Susy Davila.....we love cherry cheesecake!  Anyone else serve any other dessrts for Thanksgiving?  Please let us all know the recipe.  I am sure there are lots that would like to make them too.

What traditional Thanksgiving food do you like the least.  I eat a bite every year because my family forces me to, but I do not like cranberry sauce!

Thanks for a great lunch and a day of fun yesterday Cheryl.  It was so nice to get my mind on fun stuff for a little while and laugh a lot.

God bless you my friends!!!!!  All of you!!!!  Hugs!

Derby Pie... 1C. sugar 1/2 C. flour 2 eggs beaten 1 stick butter ( melted) use the real stuff!! 1C. nuts chopped ( I use pecans) 1 C. chocolate chips 1 tsp. vanilla combine and put in an unbaked pie shell. Bake for 1 hour at 275 (my oven takes a little longer, you want it golden brown on top and kind of firm.) I pretty much like everything except oyster dressing...my MIL makes it for Chris and my FIL. I eat just about everything else. You should try Mom's cranberry relish recipe... most people that don't like regular cranberry stuff really like this!!!

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeell, good morning and Happy Tuesday! What can I say; I was standing in the light rain at 5:45 this morning-YEA! Nothing like praising our Lord with light rain on my face.. The rain does soooooooooo remind me of Texas. You and Mike are having fun as I am blogging; lifting Y'all up! Did you ask about pie? I also love pie-a nice tart lemon pie is scrumptious and I am now salivating... I also love pumpkin pie but I am switching to Pumpkin Pie Squares-the recipe was in our Valley's Imperial Valley Press-absolutely easy to prepare and Henryk and I say this will become a tradition any day of the year. :) Growing up, I always fely sorry for my Mother getting ready for Thanksgiving; she tried to make everybody's favorite pie; everyone liked a different kind so I recall seeing about 10 different varieties at Thanksgiving and Christmas. Kori, you sound like my kind of gal; anyone that knows me well, knows I always have dessert first (I didn't even wait until I entered the Red Hat Society.) I enter Juniors restaurant in El Centro and he delivers me a peach cobbler shortly after sitting down. :) Leslie, I love you girl and I BELIEVE! Thank you God for Thanksgiving! Smiling, Terrie O.

Well I guess you know my family spends Thanksgiving in the desert, so my least favorite thing to eat is all the SAND that gets in the food. I guesss a little dirt or sand never hurt anyone. Have a very safe trip today. I love all you Gilberts.
