UPDATE:  Dr. McClay called me first thing this morning and said that even though my levels are still low I was good to go with the chemo. He will be giving me booster shots along the way.   Now it is a matter with getting everything straight with the insurance company.  I know they are working hard on it and I should be getting a phone call this afternoon to see if they can squeeze me in tomorrow or Friday.  I will come back on here and let you know.  Please keep praying that everything goes smooth.  Thank you!!!!!

Good morning!  I talked to the office manager of Dr. McClay's  office yesterday afternoon.  She said that she would give the lab results to Dr. McClay to see if they are good enough to start chemo this week.  She is also waiting for my insurance company to approve me to go up there for the treatments now.  So she told me to call her back today and she would have some answers for me.  I will hopefully know today if everything is a go or not. If it is a go we are hoping to start tomorrow or Friday.   When I find out I will come back on here and update you.  One thing I have had to learn through out this whole cancer journey is patience......and that is so hard!  You all have been super in your encouragement and support and prayers!!  Thank you!!

I would like to wish a very Happy Birthday to Amy Bonillas and Edna Clary!!  Hope you both have a great day!

Hey all you American Idol fans.......what did you think about last night?  My Danny did great!  I am ready to see Matt go next.  I thought that Alison, Kris and Adam did well too.  Can't wait for tonights show!

Have an awesome day!  Today is another gift and God is so Good!!!!

So happy to see you are able to start the chemo again. Boy does that sound weird to say, but the chemo has a job to do and needs to be in you to work. Hope they get the insurance thing done soon and you can start FAST. I also have a problem with that patience thing... I want patience NOW. My husband John is always telling me to work on that patience thing. Have a great day and go Danny!!! Lorraine

Hi Leslie. Well we're finally home from Buffalo. Things went great. My sister's been taken out of the 'boot' and is now walking on her own, in a real shoe...for the first time in 2 yrs! She still needs an ankle brace, which fits inside her shoe and she walks with a cane...but hey, at least she's walking. The only drawback to all the good news is: the x-ray showed that one of the main anchor screws is working it's way out! What does this mean? The pain she's feeling is caused from the screw putting pressure on the muscles and nerves as it's working it's way out. They'll most likely have to go in and remove the screw and replace it with another one...which will mean, yes, another small surgery and 6 weeks back in the boot. Seems like it's never-ending! After her appointment, she decided she wanted to try out her new brace and shoe to see if it was going to cause any problems, so we walked around the Buffalo Zoo for an hour and a half...no problems! YEAH! She was tired when we got done...she's still tryin to build her strength back. In fact, she was so tired, she insisted that I drive back home...which was A-OK with me. We didn't get back to her house until just after 7 p.m. Samantha and I stopped off on the way home for some dinner (I had deep fried white fish, baked potato and a salad...YUM! Samantha had chicken fingers. Then we splurged and had dessert: hot fudge mini sundae for her, peanut butter pie w/hot fudge topping for me. Totally killed my diet for the day...OH WELL!) It was a beautiful day here, glad we were able to be outdoors for awhile enjoying it at the zoo. Got some great photos. Well, I hope all works out speedily with the insurance company so that you can get back underway with the chemo. We'll be praying! Love You Bunches...talk to you again soon. "Angel" Linda

Great news Les! Thank goodness for Dr. McClay. I wish I watched American Idol, seems like everyone else does, but after the first couple of seasons I lost interest, probably because it seemed so canned. Daughtry is the only one who I've ever really been impressed by as a musician. Enough of that :-) Sending hugs and prayers your way.

I hope you get some answers today. ((((((Hugs))))) I thought Danny was FANTASTIC last night! I really like Chris and Allison too. I think it is Matt's turn to go as well. And I'm still not loving Adam as much as everyone else. :{
