2:45 Update....Praise God!!  The news was good!!  Dr. Ott doesn't want to see me again for 3 months!  Woohoo!!  Thank you so much for faithfully praying for me!!  Sorry this update is late.  Monica was tied up all day.  We just got home.  xoxoxo

Good Monday morning!!  How was your weekend?  I had a nice weekend.  It just went by way too fast.  Mike and I were able to get a lot of stuff done.  We had dinner with our family again last night and watched The Amazing Race. Yay....the cowboys Jet and Cord are still in it.  I was worried last week because they were in last place.  They are my favorite team. This will be our Sunday night tradition for now since we don't have football.

This is going to be one very busy day of traveling for Mike and I.  We are headed up to San Diego this morning to meet with my neurosurgeon for the results to my latest brain scan.  I cannot thank you all enough for keeping us in your prayers.  I am so appreciative!  I will update the blog or my sister will just as soon as we can today.  My appointment is at 11:15 pacific time.  I feel good about everything.  Please keep praying that the news is good.  It snowed a lot in the mountains this weekend.  Looking forward to some beautiful scenery when traveling through this morning.  I will take some pictures of it if we get the opportunity to pull over.

When Mike and I get back home we then have to leave for Yuma, Arizona for a dinner with a relative of Mike's who is only there for the night and so this is our opportunity to visit with him.  We are both very much looking forward to it.  What a whirlwind day this will be.  Please pray for us safe travels.

Here is a picture of Tyler riding on his turtle who he calls purple.  Tyler is 16 months old today and a complete joy and blessing to our whole fmaily.

Update on Lorri Bigger Cavins......She is starting chemo today.  Her insurance company is paying for one of the chemo drugs and the pharmaceutical company who makes the other chemo drug she needs is paying for the other.  Woohoo!!  God answered our prayers!  I am so thankful that a solution was found and that she can start.  Pray for her strength to get through this and to be fully healed.  She thanks everyone for their prayers and encouragement.

Prayer requests:  For the peace and comfort for families that are grieving the loss of a loved one.  Also continued prayer for Electra, Samuel, Derek, Haley, Alyson and Alexandrea for healing and a full recovery and for their parents strength, both physical and emotional.

Philippians 1 verse 11:  May you always be doing those good, kind things which show that you are a child of God, for this will bring much praise and glory to the Lord.

Read the bible in a year.......Today......Deuteronomy 3 - 4.  Tuesday......Deuteronomy 5 - 7.

Have a marvelous day everyone!!  Today is another gift from God and He is so Good!!

Question of the day.......How do you like your steaks cooked?  I like mine medium well.

Hi Leslie: Isn't God Awesome!!! Yea!!! I just knew it was going to be good news for you. We just arrived home from Tucson's AZ Cancer Center and I feel well so far. I had the infusion and Dr. Hersh sounded very hopeful this is going to work and told us about patients who have had success with these drugs (advistan and temodar) which made us feel really good! Our pastor went with us....and we were so thankful to have him with us. The infusion went well with the advistan and they told me to take the temodar, which may cause nausesea I took as soon as I arrived home. We have been home 30 minutes and so far so good. Thank you God for all your blessings. I feel very peaceful about everything and happy to be home and in my bed. Praising God for all his blessings for us and know he is with us each day and know it is in his hands! So much easier to live with cancer when it is turned over to God! Love and Blessings....Lorri Cavins

So, so glad you got good news from the doc! I'm hoping you're having (or had) a really good visit in Yuma, too. * That's a cute "purple turtle" with a cuter Tylie Wylie on it. Love that smile!(hee, hee)* Well my temp was down today - stayed normal most of the day so I'm on the mend. Hopefully tomorrow I'll feel up to doing some stuff around here. The weather has been so nice here right now, it's a shame to have to spend the time inside. * QOD: I like a very small, juicy and tender steak very well done drenched with a thick steak sauce. But really, I would be just as satisfied with lasagna or some other cheesy casserole with hamburger. Lots cheaper, too. * Just prayed for all those kids. Still prayin' and a readin' in AL. Love, Ev

My Dearest Leslie: Well, hello again! Have been pretty busy but have taken a little time to let you know that I am/have been praying for you and the results of the tests. Little Tyler is growing so rapidly and has the cutest smile/laughter pictures ever. So sorry to hear about Angel Linda's mother falling. I can empathize w/her - during our last ice/sleet/snow storm I did not even go out of the house because of the icy parking places. They even cancelled schools because of that very reason. We had about 6-8" rain throughout the night and they are warning of rivers rising and causing flooding. QOD - Use the oven, yesterday: I baked bread for our Sunday Dinner. Also, Like you I like my steak med well. Have a Blessed Day - love you dearly, Aunt MaryAnn

Good Morning Leslie. Praying for everything to go well with the results today and for safe travels. I couldn't believe the shots of the snow around L.A. on the news - talk about something to mess with one's head! Too funny. Also praying for travel mercies - my, my with all the traveling you and Mr. Mike will be doing today, the gas stations will LOVE you guys! Hope you have a great time in Yuma. The weekend was good - nothing special. Mom fell down the porch steps last night! She went to take the dog out late last night, hit the first step and next thing she knew she was on the ground! She's badly bruised from the middle of her back to her butt, very stiff and sore, but nothing seems broken, thank goodness. Today she's just taking it easy on the couch, the heat pack is her best friend! Last night was kind of a wild weather night here - everything was iced up at 10:30 (when mom fell), then twice during the night it thundered and was lightning! This morning we woke to find LOTS of snow had melted and small creeks are overflowing their banks - it's almost 50 (even though the sun has yet to be seen!) but the weatherman says to prepare because temps will fall throughout the day and it'll be in the teens tonight! Crazy! Love the Ty-Man picture! What a cutie pie he is! Was so happy to hear about Lorri being able to start treatment today - praise God for finding a workable solution! QOTD - My steak has to be well done and if it's tenderized right, it doesn't get tough. I can't handle the red/pink in beef of any kind...makes my stomach turn. Well, we have teen youth group tonight - PIZZA PARTY! WOO HOO! Should be fun. I've got laundry and homeschool to get done first though. Still working on my essay too - it's not quite as easy as I thought it would be :P Have a great day. Can't wait to hear the good news later today. (((HUGS))) Love, "Angel" Linda (PS - I've had no further updates on Samuel. As far as we know, he's still in the hospital. There was talk of him being released last evening, but haven't heard anything yet this morning. I know he has a scheduled spinal tap on Wednesday - pray that the results show the chemo's working or that he's in the beginning stages of remission. Thanks. Will update as soon as I hear more)
