"There are hundreds of languages in the world but a smile speaks them all."

Good Wednesday morning!  Dr. Lean's office called yesterday and I now have dates for my Cyber Knife procedure.  Unfortunately I have to do the treatment 3 times.  I was hoping for 1 but after all the test results came back it was decided that I would be doing 3.  I will be having it done in Vista on May 4th, 5th and 6th.  That works out really well for me because then I have the weekend to recover.  Mike and I will be heading up to San Diego next Tuesday night and staying with my sister and brother-in-law through Friday. I will continue to blog during that time with updates on how it is going.  I very much appreciate your prayers. Please pray that this works and kills all the cancer and that this will be it.  I am incredibly thankful that they have this technology to help me fight this.

Here are more pics from our beach trip.  Here is Tyler happily getting a ride on his Uncle Greg's shoulders.

Prayer requests:  Please pray for the Lyon/Brown family for peace and comfort over the passing of Cynthia Brown.  Pray for Sharon Ryan (Randi Ryan's mother-in-law) who had a heart attack on Monday.  Pray that she has a speedy recovery.  Also pray for my brother-in-law Mark who had knee surgery.  Pray that he heals quickly too.  Also an anonymous request for someone who is going through a difficult situation right now.  Pray that it will get better soon.

Lamentations 3 verses 21 - 26:  Yet there is one ray of hope: his compassion never ends.  It is only the Lord's mercies that have kept us from complete destruction.  Great is his faithfulness; his lovingkindness begins afresh each day.  My soul claims the Lord as my inheritance; therefore I will hope in him.  The Lord is wonderfullly good to those who wait for him, to those who seek for him.  It is good both to hope and wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord.

Read the bible in a year:  Today.....2 Kings 18 - 19.  Thursday.....2 Kings 20 - 22.

Have a wonderful day everyone!  Today is another gift from God and He is so Good!

Question......Do you wear glasses or contacts?  Yes I do wear glasses for reading.

Hi Leslie! I love seeing your pictures at the beach. You look like you could be Jenna's sister not mother! I'm glad to hear you have your dates. This way you can get it done and over with. And I'm sure that this will take care of it! Stay strong and know that I'm praying for you! And yes I wear glasses. Unfortunately. I have worn them since I was 9. When Spencer was one, I had the Lasik. It only lasted a few years though and now I'm back to needing glasses. I can't even wear contacts anymore because the Lasik changed the shape of my eyes and contacts feel like sandpaper on them. When I get brave again, I think I would like to have the Lasik again. I hate wearing glasses!!!!

Hello Leslie! I just love the continuing pics of your time at the beach! They are awesome. What a great family. I'm glad all is set for the CyberKnife - the sooner it's done, the sooner it's part of the past! Will be praying for the entire thing start to finish, as well as this being the last procedure that will be needed. You're strong and you'll do well...just wish I were closer to be there with you. I've been washing & ironing today - I hate ironing, mind you! I had to get my outfits for Sunday all ready to go. We have to be at both services on Sunday, so we'll have really get a move on that morning. I still haven't decided which outfit to wear - so I have them both cleaned and ready to go. I'm excited. Got a call today from one of the leaders to find out how I wanted my name to appear on my certificate. I also have to speak at the commissioning - I was told when they called. I've been working diligently on the newsletter & it's coming together nicely - Samantha & I have had to do a little padding to get it filled out, but I think when it's published people will be pleased and by the time the next issue's due out, we won't have to pad it (in other words, those who didn't get articles in this time, will be kicking themselves and make sure they get something in next time!). The pastor also decided to do the newsletter in full color! It's really going to make it POP! I'm so excited. Between laying out the newsletter and doing all the year-end paper work (grade submissions, printing diplomas, creating the graduation bulletin, etc) I feel like I meet myself coming & going most days. On top of all this, it's closing in on the end of the school year for Samantha too - so I have to get her portfolio together for her year-end evaluation! Lots to make time pass quickly. Going to meet my niece for dinner tonight - should be interesting. Well, the dryer just went off, gotta go grab that last load, then head out! QOTD - I wear glasses all the time. Love you! Talk again soon. (((HUGS))) "Angel" Linda

My dearest Leslie; I will certainly have you in my prayers from now until you are finish w/this procedue. Little Tyler is the happiest little lad I have seen. Is he like this all the time or does he have some moments of "testing"? Thank you for sharing hime w/us and all the family. We had a great Easter Day, Church, dinner and fellowship w/family. The choir had a worshipful cantata and the sermon was so inspiring. Beverly has been having some bad days w/her fibromyalga. We have had a couple of weeks of rain, rain, rain and that seems to have an affect on it - so she did not get to go to Church nor come over for dinner but we sent her home plenty to eat!! I love you dearly, Aunt MaryAnn

Thanks Les!! It's been a wild week. Preliminary tests indicated that she did not have a full blown heart attack, but I'm not sure she believes them. She's had three in the past and is somewhat an expert on the matter. She does have a clot somewhere though and they will keep her in the hospital until they can determine exactly where, and how to get rid of it. She's not quite out of the woods yet. Thanks for the prayers. Keep 'em comin'....
