Good Saturday morning!!  It was great to sleep in this morning.  What is everyone up to this weekend?  We have another busy weekend planned.  The Gilbert/Middleton/Cones/Hoolsema families are all getting together today for our official Easter dinner since we didn't get a chance to do it last Sunday.  (we were traveling back from El Golfo)  You know us.....any excuse to get together to eat and celebrate we will.  I was also determined to have my own little Easter egg hunt with Tyler too.  I will let you all know how that goes with him.  So this morning I will be happily cooking away in my kitchen for our dinner.

Did you all get a chance to watch William and Kate's wedding?  I did yesterday afternoon.  I thought that Kate looked beautiful.  It was fun seeing so many ladies yesterday wearing fancy hats in honor of the wedding.  I actually know someone who went to London to be a part of the crowd.  She is having a blast!

Here is a picture of Tyler playing in the sand around our camp site, filling up his cup with rocks and dumping them into his new dump truck that his Great Papa Frank and Great Grandma Jodi bought him for our beach trip.

He is pleased to have his dump truck all full.

A HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to Angel Linda Morgan on her commissioning on Sunday!!  You have worked so very hard for this and we are all proud of you!  After Sunday you have to start signing Pastor Angel Linda!  WooHoo!  I wish I could be there to see you but I will definitely be there with you in spirit.  We all can't wait to hear all about it.

Prayer requests:  Continued prayer for those who have been affected by the tornadoes.  Pray for quick restoration and for peace and comfort.

Philippians 4 verse 8b:  Fix your thoughts on what is true and good and right.  Think about things that are pure and lovely, and dwell on the fine, good things in others.  Think about all you can praise God for and be glad about.

Read the bible in a year:  Today......1 Chronicles 1 - 2.  Sunday.....1 Chronicles.....3 - 5.  Monday......1 Chronicles 6.

Have a super day and weekend everyone!  See you on Monday!  Today is another gift from God and He is so Good!

Question.........Do you drink whole milk, 2 %, 1 % or non-fat??  Jeff and Mike are total whole milk drinkers.  I use to be 2% but have had to convert to whole milk to try to keep weight on.  I don't like to drink milk by itself but I love to eat cereal.

Just a quick blog - since we just got power back this evening and Stephen was catching up on his email first. It was such a nice surprise to come home to electricity after not having it for a few days. And we had just come back from having dinner out with Edie & Herb who came in late this afternoon, too, so that was doubly wonderful. We are okay. Weren't affected at all except for the power outage. However, there is such massive destruction and we know one family personally (from church) who lost everything they had except for their lives. Also, a congregation we have worshiped with totally lost their church building, so we are very sad about that. Thank you, Leslie for asking for prayers for those people. This whole state really needs your continued prayers right now. QOTD: Well, I would like to have whole milk - I love the richness of it. But I drink skim because it is really better for me and for the same reason Leslie drinks whole - because of my weight - the opposite problem ;). Still reading and praying in AL, although I had to read ahead in the NT because I knew I was getting behind in the Old. Love, Ev

Hello! Happy Saturday! The sun is out shining bright here, it's a bit cool but on the warm up before our next round of rain! My plans for the weekend are to first "tick off the dog & make him mad at me for a few days"! Yes, that's right...it's time for a hair cut! First good one since before winter settled in. He needs it bad - he's not looking much like a poodle at this point, but that will change when I get done with him :) After his hair cut, I'll need a good shower to get all his dog hair off me. Sami & I will head over to church tonight for the first Saturday evening service! We are up to 3 services a week now. Sami will be there to provide child care - she's super excited about that. Then tomorrow is the BIG DAY! The commissioning service! We're actually doing it twice, so that both services are a part of it. It is so hard to believe that the culmination of all my studies is about to pay off! This is such an honor. So Sunday, I will spend the better part of the day in church. Before I know it the weekend will be over and a new one will be underway. The roses you sent have opened up so nice & they smell WONDERFUL! I'm enjoying them so much. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I wasn't going to get up at 4 a.m. to watch the coverage of William & Kate's wedding, but instead taped it and spent the afternoon watching it. It was beautiful. Kate looked lovely. The loving looks between William & Kate were priceless. You could really tell they are deeply in love with one another. I wish them all the best in their life together. I thought it was really cool when they said that after all the wedding hoopla settles down and they've completed their tour (Canada & the US) this summer, they'll settle down in there modest 5 room home in Wales and live as the rest of the world does - no servants; they both like to cook (well they said she cooks well, he burns well! haha), they do all their own household chores, etc, and plan to continue to live this way until the time he will need to move to the palace to become king. I think that's amazing. Hopefully it will allow them some sembalence of a normal life. William is so much like his mother - he loves deeply like she did. QOTD - I prefer non-fat milk. It's time to get the dog & head out back to get his hair cut...it will take awhile - the first of the season always takes the longest, then it's just a matter of keeping him trimmed :) You have a great weekend. Enjoy the belated Easter dinner & egg hunt. Love you tons! "Angel" Linda (It's going to seem funny having to change the way I sign this after Sunday! HA)
