Good Thursday morning!  Hellllllooooo July......time is flying by isn't it?  Lots going on this month too.  We have quite a few family birthdays in July, the 4th celebration, a good friend getting married, another baby shower and the whole family is going on a three day trip at the end of the month.  So looking forward to all of it!

Well the Dr. seems to think that I have a stress fracture in my foot and it will take about 12 weeks for it to heal.  He told me no walking for exercise but that my regular walking is fine.  I confessed to the hiking I did in Sedona....he rolled his eyes and smiled.  He told me that probably won't be a good idea for awhile.  :) I will go back to him only if it isn't healing in a few months.  So I will do my best not to do anything strenuous to it and try to stay off of it a bit more this summer. I thank you so much for your prayers.  Please continue to keep praying that my foot will heal soon. I can't tell you how relieved I am that it wasn't something more serious.

Here is my Tyler picture for the day.  He is in the swimming pool that Mike and I bought him.  He loved it!  Could you all please pray for him today?  He has a cold, cough and his first ear infection.   Poor little guy.  I am so glad that I am off right now so I can watch him while Jenna is at work.  Nani will pamper him all day!  :)

Prayer requests:  Peace and comfort for my friend Lisa Alloway and family on the passing of her mom on Tuesday.  Peace and comfort also for the Davila/Weed/Montijo families on the passing of Bobby's grandmother.  Continued prayers for comfort for those who have recently lost a loved one.  I can tell you that all the prayers are much appreciated.

Proverbs 3 verses 3, 4, 5 & 6:  Never forget to be truthful and kind.  Hold these virtues tightly.  Write them deep within your heart.  If you want favor with both God and man, and a reputation for good judgement and common sense, then trust the Lord completely; don't ever trust yourself.  In everything you do, put God first, and he will direct you and crown your efforts with success.

Have a super day everyone!  Today is another gift from God and He is so Good!

Question:  Who named you....your mom or dad?  Are you named after a family member?  Any story behind your name?  Do you go by a nickname?

Good Wednesday morning!  Here is a picture of Tyler but he is not smiling.  In fact he is a little mad at Jenna and I here.  He wanted that cupcake sitting next to him.  Of course we couldn't give it to him.  We tried every distraction we could think of but he was head strong that he wanted nothing but the cupcake.  We finally put a toy in his hand so we could at least get one picture where he wasn't reaching for it.  Ha! ha!  I told Jenna that from now till his one year birthday he will be wanting that cupcake.  Oh will be a fun story to tell him when he is older and looks at this picture.  It will also be fun to see him at his one year birthday party.  He will have a big cake to dig into then!

I go for my MRI results late this afternoon.  Thank you again for keeping me in your prayers.  I feel at peace about the whole thing.

Just a friendly reminder to buy a card this week and send it to someone who needs to be thought of and feel loved.  I have already heard from some of you that you are doing it.  Thanks!

Prayer requests:  I actually received a couple of prayer requests yesterday for two women who could really use our prayers right now for their pregnancies.  Please pray that they have healthy pregnancies and safe deliveries.  God bless you both and your families.  Also continued prayer for my friend Stacey who is still in the hospital.   Remember that if you have a prayer request please e-mail me at  If you want me to put it on the blog anonymously I will.  The prayer warriors here are awesome!

Romans 15 verse 13:  So I pray for you that God who gives you hope will keep you happy and full of peace as you believe in him.  I pray that God will help you overflow with hope in him through the Holy Spirit's power within you.

Have a wonderful day everyone!!  Today is another gift from God and he is so Good!

What is on the menu for your July 4th celebration?  We are having BBQ'ed hot dogs, potato salad, beans, watermelon, chips & dip etc....and of course dessert!

I have a new song in my heart Lord.....hymn of praise to you.......all I want to do when I wake spend my day with you....

Good Tuesday morning!!  That is a few words from one of the songs we sang at VBS last week and it is stuck in my head.  Love that song.  How is everyone today?  I went in and had the MRI done on my foot yesterday.  Will know the results tomorrow late afternoon when I go back to my doctor.  Thank you all for praying.

It is time again to send a card out to someone who could really use some encouragement, a get well, thinking of you or just to say a simple "hello!"  So if you are out and about this week please pick up a card or two or three and send it out to someone.  I know we all personally know of someone who it would really mean a lot to.

I don't have a picture for today.  Mike said that my blog is full and he is going to have to go in and save and store some of the past blog postings for me to free up some space.  Should be able to have a new picture up tomorrow.

Prayer requests:  cancer....Lori, Lorri, Teresa, Father Ruben, John W., Ken, Kristen, Patrick, Mike J., Sue, Anna, Martha, Cyndi, Joanne, Betsy, Chris H., Kate, Allen, Kenny, Samuel, Becky, Jim, Wayne, Danny, Claudia's dad and Carolyn.  Whew....I know that is a lot of names but they all could really use our prayers.  They all need healing, strength and encouragement.  They thank all of you prayer warriors out there.  I am so grateful too.

Romans 8 verses 26 & 27:  And in the same way--by our faith--the Holy Spirit helps us with our daily problems and in our praying.  For we don't even know what we should pray for, nor how to pray as we should; but the Holy Spirit prays for us with such feeling that it cannot be expressed in words.  And the Father who knows all hearts knows, of course, what the spirit is saying as he pleads for us in harmony with God's own will.

Have a terrific day everyone!!  Today is another gift from God and He is so Good!!

Question.........what are your plans for the fourth of July?  (good question Aunt MaryAnn) Church for us in the morning and then in the late afternoon we will have a BBQ party at Ryan and Jenna's house and then watch the fireworks show.

How was your weekend?  We had a very nice weekend.  We saw Toy Story 3.  I know it is a kiddie movie but I just loved it!  I had tears at the end.  It is a really good movie.  I'd see it again.  You know I have to watch these movies so I can keep up with my little peeps at work.  The kids are always asking me if I have watched certain movies.  Gives me a great excuse to see them.  :)  Dinner out with my brother for his birthday was fun too.  We had a great time!  Tyler went swimming yesterday in the little pool we bought him.  He loved it!  Of course I got pictures.  I will share them this week.

Shelly your card.  Love it!  You are so talented and I love everyone you have made me!

Prayer requests:  My friend and co-worker Stacey has been in a S.D. hospital for 10 days with pancreatitis.  Please keep her in your prayers that she will start getting better soon and be fully healed.  She has a little boy at home that I know she is missing a lot and he is missing her.  We love you Stacey!!  Get better soon!!  Also my friend Lisa's mom is going home to be with God anytime now. She has lived a good, long life.   If you could please keep her and her whole family in your prayers for peace and comfort.

Psalms 150 verses 2 & 6:  Praise him for his mighty works.  Praise his unequaled greatness.  Let everything alive give praises to the Lord!  You praise him!  Hallelujah!  (That is the last chapter of Psalms and it was great sharing with you all the verses I have underlined in my bible.  I will have to think on what verses of the bible I will post next.)

Have a marvelous day everyone!  Today is another gift from God and He is so Good!  Make each day count.

Dark......white......or milk chocolate????  Or all of them????

I want to wish my little brother Donald a very "Happy Birthday" today!!  We are headed to Yuma tonight for his birthday dinner.  Since Mike is on call and can't go we are going to have shrimp and lobster tonight!  For those of you that don't know Mike and Jenna both are extremely allergic to lobster, shrimp and crab.  I LOVE all three......but only get to order it if Mike and Jenna are not with me.

Also looking forward to going to the movies this weekend.  So many have told me that Toy Story 3 is soooo good!  We plan on watching it in 3-D.

I also wanted to mention the Dancing Feet Recital that has been going on at Southwest High School.  I heard that it is spectacular!  They have one more performance tonight.  Gretchen and Debi and all of the teachers do such a fabulous job!  The dancers are always great!  Oh I miss Jenna dancing so much!  Go see it if you get a chance.

Samantha reading your journal about your trip to Philly.  You are such a good writer!

Prayer requests:  Safety and protection for our military troops.  Also those who are suffering from depression.

Psalms 146 verse 8b:  He lifts the burdens of those bent down beneath their loads.  147 verse 5: How great he is!  His power is absolute!  His understanding is unlimited.

Have a super weekend everyone!!  Today is another gift from God and He is so good!!  See you all on Monday!
