Good morning!!  How are you all doing?  I am on day two of no chemo and I am loving it!  I met with the surgeon yesterday Dr. Hahm, and I am scheduled for surgery to put the port in on Monday morning.  I have to be at the hospital at 8:00 but I don't think the surgery will take place until 10:00.  I have to make it through one more IV stick but thats all.  After the port is installed I am done with that for a long time.  I just want to tell you that I love Dr. Hahm!  She is so encouraging, funny, up to date on the latest and just genuinely cares!  So happy that she is my surgeon.

Today as soon as Mike gets home from work (he had to go in for a few hours this morning)  we are going to the pound to look for a dog!  I can't wait!  I just know there is one there for me.  If not we will keep looking but I may have a dog in my possession today.  I will take a picture if I get one and post it.  Hopefully I won't be saying to you all......Good grief, what have I done?  :)

Could you continue to pray for me for this upcoming surgery?  That they get the IV in the first time?  That I don't have anxiety about it?  Thank you all for the many prayer requests that I received yesterday.  I am faithfully praying for all of them.  Keep sending them my way.   Have a wonderful Wednesday!

Thanks Patty McDonald for bringing us out the delicious homemade soup!  It is so good!  I appreciate you giving us the recipe with it too.  You rock girl!

God is Good!!!                                            Super Bowl Pick?  I'll tell you mine later.

Be glad for all God is planning for you.  Be patient in trouble, and prayerful always.  Romans 12:12

Leslie, Having the port put in will be such a blessing for you. Make sure you ask them for a Lidocaine cream to use when they access the port for blood draws or chemo. You won't feel anything. Hope all continues to go well for you.

She is adorable! Those big, sad eyes and that cute little button nose would have won my heart, too. You'll have to look for a floral (leigh) collar for her now, befitting her name - aloha (Ha!) Well, you'll still have her after 6 months. You're stuck with her now - or she's stuck with you (whatever). We've had ours for 10 years now and we just got her back from getting her teeth cleaned today. She should be good for another 7 or 8 years now. They're some trouble and expense, but they are SOOOOOO worth it. They give so much love. Still praying in AL. Love, Ev

Hey Girlfriend! I was thrilled when I got your email about your dog! How cool! Can't wait to see a picture of her...then I'll let you know what I think of the name(s). As for the Super Bowl...you know I'm not a football fan, but being that Pittsburgh is in our backyard...enough said :) Although, I don't really like the Steelers...but shhhh, don't tell anyone...I don't want to be run out of NW PA!!! LOL. Here's one for your prayer list: Mom will be heading to the surgeon for that skin cancer spot on her knee on Monday. She already knows they will only be doing an evaluation. She's been kind of moody dealing with the "C" word. Well...time to go out and shovel one more time before beddy-bye. Have a good one. Love you bunches. Give the "newest" Gilbert a scratch on the ears from us here. (((ANGEL HUGS))) "Angel" Linda

Okay, I am cheering for the Cardinals because I think they are such the underdogs, but I think that Pittsburg is going to really whomp them. Hopefully the commercials are good because really without the Chargers playing, it is not as fun to watch! Chargers in 2010!!!

Ah, Super Bowl. Well, I can't even believe that the Cardinals are in it! Tough call. I would love to see the underdogs take it again this year, but I have a feeling that the Steelers are going to go hunting. :) Good luck with the pooch. :) Love ya.

Good Morning, I'm glad everything went well with the surgeon. How exciting about the dog, you'll have to call me later and tell me about your new family member. As far as Super Bowl, I'm going CARDINALS all the way, I'm really NOT a fan of the Squeelers. Have a wonderful day. I will talk to you this afternoon. I love ya Lots
