Good Friday morning!  I want to thank you for all of the good wishes and prayers for me yesterday.  Everything went really well at my oncologist's office.  Dr. McClay said that I should be very happy because I was doing extremely well.  I told him I was thrilled and so very thankful!  He had nothing but good news for me and it was great to actually visit with all of the office staff and see all of my chemo nurses without having any anxiety.  They treat Mike and I like we are part of their family and are just as happy to visit with us like we were with them.  God could not have led me to a better place.  I cannot say enough good things about Dr. McClay.....he genuinely cares, is in no hurry, listens and has a great relationship with his patients.

The Cheesecake Factory was sooooo good!!  I had the red velvet cake cheesecake with cream cheese frosting and Mike had the pineapple upside down cake cheesecake.  Both were so awesome that we took some more to go!  I think I am still stuffed from it all.

I have one last picture to show you from the party Saturday night.  This one is of Tyler and what he did to his Hawaiian lei.  He really tore into it. Ha! Ha!

Could you all please keep my friend Bill Cartwright in your prayers for healing and strength.  I also got a prayer request for a woman who recently got pink slipped from work, house was very damaged in the earthquake and found out she has breast cancer and had a mastectomy.  That is a lot to hit you in just a few weeks.  She could really use our prayers.

Psalms 33 verse 21: No wonder we are happy in the Lord!  For we are trusting him.  We trust his holy name.  Yes, Lord, let your constant love surround us, for our hopes are in you alone.

Have a fantabulous Friday everyone!!  Today is another gift from God and He is so Good!!  Thank you God for healing my body from cancer!

Strawberry shortcake or pineapple upside down cake??  I love both!!!

So thankful for your progress Leslie. Still praying. Thank you for the update on Mr. Cartwwright. Thank you so much for posting the verses from Psalms. I have been reading through the Psalms, but you always seem to find something that I must have missed. Thank you! Thank you!

Hi Leslie. So glad that you got to visit with everyone at Dr. McClay's and actually enjoy it all! I know you're thrilled with the report...I told you didn't I??? LOL. Love the pictures of the party you've been posting...sure makes me wish I lived closer ;) I'll be sure to keep The ENTIRE Cartwright family in my prayers. I read Brenda's post about her aunt as I'm praying for them all. Will also pray for the woman you mentioned as well. When you hear things like that, it makes you wonder why so many 'life storms' have to hit so closely together. Everyone says 'The Lord never gives you more than you can handle' and while that's true, that's one of the last things you want to hear when you're the one going through them. When I have times like that and someone says that to me, my response is: "I just wish He didn't trust me so much!" I made out pretty good today at the doctor's. Got the mole removed and have 3 stitches. It's a little sore tonight - pulling and stinging - but nothing too bad. I go back in a week and get the pathology report and get the stitches out. Am confident that all will be well with the report. I've been dealing with a MAJOR sweet tooth today, so it's funny that your question of the day deals with sweets! I'd pick Strawberry Shortcake any day...YUM! After being at the doctor's today, I got more things done/scheduled before our Jeopardy trip. Sami needs her eyes checked and new glasses, so made her an appointment for Monday to get that done...she's gotta be able to see nice and clear for the mock game! Hahaha. Still searching for a year-end evaluator...please keep praying that we find someone soon and not have to use the public school principal. Not much planned (at this point) for the weekend...just kicking back and relaxing, but then again, with us you never know what spur-of-the-moment thing we'll end up doing! Yesterday's field trip was great...the new dinosaur exhibit was great and we spent 2 hours at the zoo...our Orangutan family was sooooo playful! We had a blast! Lunch was wonderful too...the best part was the Italian Wedding Soup! YUM! I wish you a wonderful weekend...take care...will see you here Monday (sometime). Love & Hugs, "Angel" Linda

Great news Les. I'm so happy for you.. Major prayers going out to Mr. Cartwright and your friend. So much to deal with.... :( Prayers for strength and healing. I am going to have to try that red velvet cheesecake. Sounds delish. I've been thinking about banana cream cheesecake ever since you texted me yesterday... Oh, I love strawberry shortcake AND pineapple upside down cake. But, if I had to choose one, I'd go with teh strawberry shortcake. :)
