Small change of plans - Imperial Unified School District graciously offered the use of the Frank Wright cafeteria for Leslie's lunch reception on Saturday.  So we will be holding that there instead of at the Casa de Manana.  We even get to use the cafeteria tables, maybe it will help bring out the childlike innocence in all of us that Leslie loved so much.  Again, meat will be provided, so bring Leslie's favorite side dish, salad, or dessert.  It will be good to relax together, we have printed up a couple hundred pictures that will be displayed around the room to bring back lots of great memories.

There will be someone at Frank Wright prior to the 10 am service so that food can be dropped off.  Frank Wright is at 885 N Imperial Ave in Imperial in case you need to Google directions, the cafeteria is located on the North side of 15th street.  If you have any food questions, please contact Jessica at First Christian Church 352-8300

We will see you Saturday.

Dear Mike and Family: Leslie was such an inspiration to me than you can imagine. When she found out I too, had metatastic melanoma she was right on it; inspiring me with cards, calls, photos, and words of wisdom that brought me through the first part of all the phases a person goes through. my true acceptance of this horrible disease came from her steadniness as a rock! She will continue to inspire me as I read and re-read her blog posts. It is comforting to know she lived her life to the fullest and I can only hope to try to fill half her shoes with others I have met with the same disease. To give them faith through the Lord. She was a legacy here on earth and has left beautiful legacy's in her children and grandchild (more to come one day).....Please know her spirit will continue here on earth and touch others from all parts of the world. Now, she is celebrating a life free of cancer with our Lord and Saviour Jesus......she will be missed, but I am comforted knowing we will meet up again one day! Blessings and xoxox Lorri

Very nice Gilbert family, this is a very nice place to hold this lunch reception! Leslie was a well loved employee of our school district for many years! We thank you for printing the pictures you have on this blog and we so look forward to seeing the others that you will have displayed. Please let us know if you would like us to do anything. I will definitely bring a side dish. We miss Leslie and we will be there too. Love, the Jaime family
