UPDATE: My oncology nurse called me and said that they are waiting on one more thing from my insurance company.  It is more complicated then just doing my chemo.  They want to do some very expensive shots too.  (I'll explain more on that later).  They tentatively have me scheduled for this Tuesday at 10:00.  She said she will call me back tomorrow and give me an update.  Please pray that this all goes through tomorrow and that we are good to go for Tuesday.  Thanks so much.  God is Good!

Good morning!  Yesterday afternoon the case manager that is assigned to me called and said they are working very hard on this whole thing.  I should be getting a phone call today to see if I am going up today or tomorrow for treatment.  They are trying to work me into their schedule and get the insurance company to hurry.  Things are moving along.  Just not sure yet when I will start.  Thank you all for praying.  God is hearing those prayers!

Mike was off yesterday (yay) after a 5 day stretch at work. (He works 12 hour shifts that turn into 13 and 14 sometimes)  We got a lot of stuff done inside and outside of the house.  Thanks Pops and Jodi for having us over for dinner last night.  Everything was great!

I also got to go with my daughter to another sonogram appointment of the baby.  Oh the baby is so cute!  The baby was waving at us and at one point sucking on it's thumb.  It's a very active little one.  Everything looks great and both are super healthy!  My excitement is growing everyday!!

Now on to American Idol news.  I was happy that they booted Matt off.  The 4 that are remaining are all so good.  It is really going to be tough to choose.  I am sticking with Danny.  He has been my choice from day one.  It will be interesting to see what happens next week.  What did you all think?  Who are you hoping wins?

UPDATE:  Dr. McClay called me first thing this morning and said that even though my levels are still low I was good to go with the chemo. He will be giving me booster shots along the way.   Now it is a matter with getting everything straight with the insurance company.  I know they are working hard on it and I should be getting a phone call this afternoon to see if they can squeeze me in tomorrow or Friday.  I will come back on here and let you know.  Please keep praying that everything goes smooth.  Thank you!!!!!

Good morning!  I talked to the office manager of Dr. McClay's  office yesterday afternoon.  She said that she would give the lab results to Dr. McClay to see if they are good enough to start chemo this week.  She is also waiting for my insurance company to approve me to go up there for the treatments now.  So she told me to call her back today and she would have some answers for me.  I will hopefully know today if everything is a go or not. If it is a go we are hoping to start tomorrow or Friday.   When I find out I will come back on here and update you.  One thing I have had to learn through out this whole cancer journey is patience......and that is so hard!  You all have been super in your encouragement and support and prayers!!  Thank you!!

UPDATE:  Hi everyone!  Well we are seeing progress on some of my levels.  My platelets rose a lot.....they were at 65 and are now at 133.  Nornal low is 140,  so I am pretty darn close.  The red cell count did not move at all.  It is at 2.66 and the minimum it needs to be is 4.20.  The white cell count moved up some.  It is at 2.01 but needs to be at least 4.80.  So now Mike is faxing the results to my Dr. in San Diego to see if they are good enough to start chemo or not.  Will let you know when I find out.  The Dr. has said before that if my platelets were at least 90 I could have chemo.....but not sure if my white cells are high enough to start.  Keep praying and I will try to update again later.  Love Ya!

Good morning!!  I dreamed all night last night over and over the same thing........that I was in a surgical gown, mask and gloves going into the hospital to get my blood work done and waiting for the results.  I never got the results in my dream.....just waiting.  Can you tell what I have on my mind?? Ha!  I go into the hospital at about 11:00 today. (Yes.....a mask will be on)   I know you all are praying. I thank you and am so very grateful!!   I will be back on here later today with the results.  I know this is all in God's hands.

Good morning!  Hope you all were out enjoying the beautiful weekend!  After a lot of things that have transpired over the last week Mike and I have made the decision that the rest of my care will be done in San Diego.  During this break we have learned a lot of things that I shouldn't say on this blog that easily made our decision to finish in San Diego.  During this time off my awesome nurse George who had worked at that center for years has left too (that should answer a lot of your questions as to why I am going too).  George has another wonderful job and he will be the best nurse for that job!  I am not leaving just because George left......no it is ONE of the reasons WHY he left that is one of my reasons for leaving too.  Besides.....it will be much easier for my oncologist if he could physically see me once a week anyways.  I know I will have top notch care up there.  That is really all I can say for now.  I hope that I made sense.

Tomorrow I will go to the hospital for more blood work.  We are still praying like crazy that my levels are up and that I can start chemo this week.  I will keep you posted.  In the meantime I have been working out and trying to build up some strength again before I have to be down again.  I feel good!  Thanks everyone for praying so much for me!

Good Sunday morning!!  I had a great day yesterday.  Was able to get a lot accomplished around here and I did a lot of scrapbooking and  reading.  I really took the time and just enjoyed myself and worked on and did things that I love.  Today a dear friend of mine from out of town is coming over for a visit.  She had her class reunion last night and is coming by to see me for a bit before heading home.  Then Jenna and I are going to hang out for the day.

God's timing is amazing!  Thank you for your prayers for me during this break.  I am starting to see why God gave me this longer break and I should have more to report to you about that later.  Will definitely know more tomorrow.  You are all continually in my thoughts and prayers too. 

God is who He says He is........God can do what He says He can do.......I am who God says I am.......I can do all things through Christ..........God's word is alive and active in me!
