WooooooHoooooo!!!!  God is Good!!!  We are 'happy dancing' over the good news from yesterday!!  Brain scan looks good!!

Good Tuesday morning!!  Guess what today is????  Yes!!!!  It is the opening ceremonies of Birth Month!!!!  hahaha!  I am so excited that March is here!  For anyone new to reading my blog, I don't just celebrate March 26th, my birthday, I like to celebrate all month long!  I love birthday's and think that everyone should celebrate their's big every year.  I am going to be 49 years old this year!  Where did the time go?  I am just so thankful to be here and celebrate my last year of being in my forty's.  Turning 50 next year doesn't bother me one bit.  I will just be thrilled to celebrate it!  My sweet friend Angel Linda even sent me an opening ceremonies gift.  You know what it was?  31 birthday cards!!  Wow!!  One for each day this month!  Awwwww....I love it Linda!  Something to open everyday this month.  My father-in-law & mother-in-law also brought me by an opening ceremonies gift.  It was a birthstone tree covered in my birthstones.  So pretty!  Thank you....that was so sweet!  Great way to start off my birth month celebrations! 

The news from Dr. Ott yesterday was awesome!  Mike and I went to lunch to celebrate and then Mike took me to a cupcake store and I ate a big delicious cupcake.  The next thing on my medical agenda is a full body PET scan on March 19th.  Please pray that the 2 spots that Dr. McClay is watching on my lungs are gone.  I appreciate it so very much!

Here is a picture that Mike and I took yesterday in the mountains on our way to San Diego.  It was a beautiful drive with all the snow.

Prayer requests:  I received a prayer request for someone who broke their foot and is in a lot of pain.  Pray for the pain to subside and for a quick recovery.  Also for someone else who needs surgery and is waiting for a date to be scheduled.  They are hoping to get in and have it done by next week.

1 John 4 verse 16: We know how much God loves us because we have felt his love and because we believe him when he tells us that he loves us dearly.  God is love, and anyone who lives in love is living with God and God is living in him.

Good Monday morning!!  How was your weekend?  I had a nice weekend.  It just went by way too fast.  Mike and I were able to get a lot of stuff done.  We had dinner with our family again last night and watched The Amazing Race. Yay....the cowboys Jet and Cord are still in it.  I was worried last week because they were in last place.  They are my favorite team. This will be our Sunday night tradition for now since we don't have football.

This is going to be one very busy day of traveling for Mike and I.  We are headed up to San Diego this morning to meet with my neurosurgeon for the results to my latest brain scan.  I cannot thank you all enough for keeping us in your prayers.  I am so appreciative!  I will update the blog or my sister will just as soon as we can today.  My appointment is at 11:15 pacific time.  I feel good about everything.  Please keep praying that the news is good.  It snowed a lot in the mountains this weekend.  Looking forward to some beautiful scenery when traveling through this morning.  I will take some pictures of it if we get the opportunity to pull over.

When Mike and I get back home we then have to leave for Yuma, Arizona for a dinner with a relative of Mike's who is only there for the night and so this is our opportunity to visit with him.  We are both very much looking forward to it.  What a whirlwind day this will be.  Please pray for us safe travels.

Update on Lorri Bigger Cavins......She is starting chemo today.  Her insurance company is paying for one of the chemo drugs and the pharmaceutical company who makes the other chemo drug she needs is paying for the other.  Woohoo!!  God answered our prayers!  I am so thankful that a solution was found and that she can start.  Pray for her strength to get through this and to be fully healed.  She thanks everyone for their prayers and encouragement.

Prayer requests:  For the peace and comfort for families that are grieving the loss of a loved one.  Also continued prayer for Electra, Samuel, Derek, Haley, Alyson and Alexandrea for healing and a full recovery and for their parents strength, both physical and emotional.

Philippians 1 verse 11:  May you always be doing those good, kind things which show that you are a child of God, for this will bring much praise and glory to the Lord.

Good Saturday morning!!  What are you all up to this weekend?  It was a cold and windy night last night in the Imperial Valley.  Looks like we may get some rain this morning.  Tyler did great at the Drs. yesterday.  He didn't cry at all with his shots.  He is a growing healthy boy which I thank God for daily.  We all went out to dinner last night and had some awesome BBQ.  Had a really good time.  Today Mike and I have a day of running around getting stuff done.

Terrie O......I am praying and am anxious to read what you are going to tell us on March 2nd.  I have a good guess on what it is.  We will see if I am right. (Did you get my e-mail answering your questions?)   Brenda G......That is so cool that we have a little connection to an American Idol contestant.  I like him too.  Hopefully he will make it far in the competition.

I would like to wish my niece Kayanna a very "Happy Birthday" on Sunday!!  Have a super fun day!!

I received two calls yesterday with the callers telling me they got answers to prayer!  Woohoo!!

Update on 18 year old Haley (she lives in Indiana) who had surgery to remove a brain tumor.  The surgery went well and the Drs. were able to remove all the tumor.  However it was malignant and she will be starting chemo/radiation soon.  Pray for her to recover quickly and to gain strength for the chemo.  Also I believe that Lorri Cavins is starting chemo on Monday.  Will update you more about that on Monday.

Prayer requests:  For little Samuel who was doing better from the fever and all of a sudden last night got severe stomach pains and was put on morphine.  Please pray they find out what is causing it and that he gets through this setback too.  Pray also for his parents.  Thank you Angel Linda for the updates. Also if you could pray for my Dr. appointment with the neurosurgeon on Monday to go well.  Thank you.

Good Friday morning!!  I am ready for the weekend!  I love these four day work weeks.  The weather was so beautiful yesterday!  I went to Tyler's house after I got off of work and took him outside and just played and played with him.  Tyler likes to go for rides in his red wagon and play ball with his dog Rusty.  It was a fun afternoon. Today I am going on a field trip with the kindergarteners to the library and to the park for play time.  So if you are passing through Imperial this morning and you see 120 kinder kids you know it is us.

This afternoon Jenna and I are taking Tyler to the pediatricians office to get his 15 month shots.  I know he has to get them.....Nani just doesn't like seeing it.  He has done really well all the past times getting his shots so hopefully this time he will too.  I always hide behind Jenna when the nurse comes to give him the shot so Tyler thinks mommy lets the nurse do that to him, not Nani. hahaha!

American Idol was good last night.  Now down to the top 24.  I am now starting to see who I am favoring more.

Prayer requests:  A special request for a family who could use some strength and healing right now.  Pray that whatever they are dealing with will get better.  Pray for their stress to go away too.  Also for little Samuel (3 1/2 years old) who is fighting cancer was rushed to the ER again for a high fever.  The latest update is that the fever is down.  He has 0 immune system.  Pray that he continues to get better and will be released from the hospital.  Continued prayer please for Lorri Bigger Cavins.  Also for a friend for safe traveling mercies.

Question of the day........So what is everyone up to tonight??

God has specific plans for you, therefore he has put you where you are for a reason and has given you all the abilities to make a difference.  Do the best that you can and leave the trail for others to follow.

Good Thursday morning!!  I had a great day yesterday.  Just a lot of little good things that happened during the day that added it up to making it a great day.  A lot of things that I am so grateful for and am very appreciative of.  I saw a lot of great and exciting things that happened to other people.  It brightens your day to see others so blessed with awesome things happening in their lives.   I am strengthened and encouraged.  I as well as many others are praying for you who need prayers.  I as well as others are seeing answers to these prayers.  Please know that there are so many people who care and have HOPE for you.  God cares and loves us all so much.  Unconditional love.  We all have some bad days and hard tough days. God provides the strength to get through.  Lean on Him fully.  He can handle it.

I am learning more and more recently about e-mails that I have sent off and the people I had sent them to did not receive them.  It is frustrating but I hope I have a solution now. Mike looked and can't figure out what is happening either.   His e-mails are going out fine.   So if I haven't responded back to you I am sorry.  I am usually good about getting back to you.  Technology is great when it is working.  But it is all good and I am trying to catch up now.

I watched American Idol again last night.  It is now getting down to picking the top 24 contestants.  We will know who they all are tonight.  It is definitely going to be a great group singing this year.  So many good ones to choose from.  Anyone have a favorite yet?

Prayer requests: For a friend who is under a lot of stress right now and could use our prayers that God will give her strength to make it through a tough time.   For the safety and protection of all our military men and women who are serving our country.  Thank you for everything that you do.  Pray for their families as well.

Question of the day........What type of cheese do you like to eat?  I am a cheese girl.  I love all kinds of cheese and love both pepper jack and cheddar in my sandwiches.
